We took hours sorting through the boxes and I feel a little restless so I stood up and walked to the door
"I'm going for a walk" I said
"okay be careful" he replied
I walked out his office scrolling through the empty hall I checked my watch it was seven in the night my eyes widens a bit but I shrug it off going into the elevator and hit the third floor out of curiosity as the elevator stops I stumbled onto the first door I go in and there are guns all over the walls

Out of my very curious mind a picked up a glock G26 and had been playing around with it my dad use to teach me how to use it well how to load it anyways I was kinda bad at aiming I then loaded the gun
I then heard footsteps approaching very fast I panicked and turned off the lights the door swings opens I hold the gun up to the figure with my eyes closed
"Holy shit cutie what the hell I've been looking for you all over put the gun down" he says while I slowly open my eyes to see Adam's staring at me
"oh thank god" I said with a sigh of relief
"why do always get jumpy and think someone is coming after you" he asks and I can't give him the answer so I just shrugged it off
"I'm hungry lets.go eat" I said walking past him
"Go ahead I'm not hungry ill be in my office if you need me" he says
"wait why'd you come down here anyways"
"I came to check up on you and good thing I did you would've probably shoot yourself" he says and I roll my eyes going into the elevator hitting the fifth floor wondering if this warehouse has a cafe
I wonder around the place and looked for food like an animal in the jungle then I saw a vending machine I got excited but I realise I have no money oh well I'm just gonna smash It I looked at the chocolate chip cookies that I wanted to badly I would do anything at this point
I hold up a baseball bat I found leaning on the wall I picked up my hand ready to smash it until someone grabs my hand and I gasp and turn around it was Adam thank god I sigh a breath of relief
"why the hell were you going to smash my bending machine" he says and I quickly thought of an answer
"because I'm starving and the machine ate my dollar" I lied
"uh huh well ill pay for it then"
"ok" I smile like a fucking child when he handed my the cookies
"want some" I asked and he shrugged off oh well at least I asked
"Follow me" he says and I asked behind him
We enter the elevator and headed to the roof oh no is he gonna push me off , nah he likes me too much the door dings and we exit walking to the very end of the roof watching the city and I have to say the view is so beautiful
We took a seat on the ledge Adam has alcohol in his hand and he caught me eyeing his drink
"want some" he says
"nope I don't drink its bad for your lungs" I say and he nods taking a sip of his drink
"are you ok" I ask him
"I'm never ok"
"do you want a hug" I said as he turns to me and I give him a warm smile he rolls his eyes at me
"why are you always so happy" he asks
"Because that's my way of covering pain" I said and and looks at me with a confused face
"what do you mean"
"I'm not always jolly I just have a lot of pain that I need to cover"
"yeah.. like what" he says in a soft tone and it feels so nice everything is so calm
"you see I wanna tell you Adam but I just can't"
"Why not cutie I don't bite" he says and he called me cutie again my stomach feels a little weird
"Everyone betrays me ill tell you when the time is right ok"
"sure but just know you can tell me anything ok"
"ok but what about you sweetie" I said not realizing that I called him sweetie god what I wrong with me
"what about me sweetie" he said in a sweet tone
"your backstory you wanna know mine lets hear about you" I said hoping he will tell me something
"I'll tell you when the time is right ok" he says and chuckles a little
"ugh fine" laughing out with him
" take a sip I promise it won't kill you I'm right here so you won't die" he says
"ok" I then take my very first sip of vodka and lets just say I'm never doing that ever again
"oh god" I said gagging a little and then I suddenly hear a burst of laughter I turned to my side to see Adam laughing it was so adorable I've never seen him laugh or even smile at the very least. I laughed along with him it was nice
"that was disgusting" I said
"who told you to take that big sip" he says still laughing his eyes out I laughed along with him.
It was getting late so we stood up and watched the beautiful city It was calm and nice

"So what are you gonna do after we find out your dad and thing" he said
"I'm not sure I'm graduating next month and don't have a plan"
"Oh"
"yeah I never really focus on the future always in the present and for now my present is kinda nice" we looked at each other and stared for a little
"we should probably go back home its really late"
"Uh yeah sure whatever you want"
We left the warehouse and headed back home the car ride was kinda silent I wonder what he is thinking about we enter the house and said goodnight to each other and went our separate ways
