Chapter 9 - A Date To The Cat Cafe

A few days later...

Location - Live House CiRCLE, Lobby

Your POV

During the middle of the week, while I was clocking in for work, Marina was talking to me about my relationship with Yukina.

"Hey, I heard the good news. You and Yukina-chan are in a relationship, right? Congratulations." Marina said. It sounds like she found out from the other members of Roselia because I never told her, neither did Yukina.

"Thanks, Marina-san, though I guess it is a bit weird." I said to her.

"Weird? What's wrong with dating Yukina-chan?" She asked.

"Nothing's wrong with it. I just think it is weird for me to be dating a fan who has been supporting me my whole life." I said.

"Oh well, maybe you'll get used to it as your relationship with Yukina goes on." Marina said.

It's nice that Marina is willing to talk about this with me. The way she's talking sounds like she is speaking from experience.

"I hope so."

"But enough talking, there's lots of work that needs to be done, and I'll need your help."

"I won't let you down."

A few minutes later...

Location - Shopping District

The work remain fairly even as the day went on. So much for there being a lot of it... While working, Marina noticed that we were low on supplies for the live house, so together, we headed into town to go buy some stuff. While walking, the conversation with my relationship with Yukina got started up again.

"So, now that you and Yukina-chan are in a relationship now, what are you going to do next?" She asked. That is a good question. I've never been a relationship before, so all of this is still consider new for me. 

"To be honest, I really don't know..." I answered her meekly.

"You don't know?!" Marina exclaimed.

"No, what do you think I should do?" I asked.

"Well, if you want my two cents, I would think you taking Yukina-chan on a date will be the next step." She said.

"A date? Why is that?" I asked.

"It's something a lot of couples do every now and then. If you and Yukina-chan are going to be a couple, you two should take that first step by going on a date." She explained.

"I guess I can do that, but where should I take her?" I asked again.

Marina looked around while we were still walking. Eventually, she spotted a cafe, but it wasn't just any cafe, it was a cat cafe, and it looks brand new.

"Hey, how about that cafe over there?" She asked, pointing to the cafe.

"The new cat cafe that just opened up?"

"Yep. You told me that Yukina-chan likes cat, right? If you took her there, I'm sure the two of you will have a good time."

At this point, it feels like Marina is a second mother to me. She is going out of her way to help me out, something my real mother would often do.

"I guess I can give it a try. Thanks, Marina-san." I said and smiled at her.

"No problem. Now then, let's get back to our shopping." She replied.
