Chapter 10 - Future World Fes

A few weeks later...

Location - Live House CiRCLE

Your POV

I began to think about the first date I had with Yukina a few weeks ago. I won't lie, I was completely nervous that date, and it looked like Yukina was nervous, as well. But unlike me, she didn't show it. Most of that was... awkward, I guess. I tried to make conversation with her but my words kept getting mixed up, and it felt like I couldn't speak altogether. So in the end, I basically made a fool of myself. But at least ended on a happy note, with the cat taking a nap on Yukina's lap, which made her smile.

But now, that date is behind and things are back to normal. Well, kind of. Today Roselia is using the studio room like they normally do. There was a special event that they were going to take part in call Future World Fes, and according to Yukina, they need all the practice they can get. Moments later, Yukina walked out of the studio room with a water bottle in her hand, and sweating.

"Hi there, Yukina." I said.

"Oh, hi." She said and drank her water.

"How is band rehearsals?" I asked.

"It's exhausting, but I am happy to say that we are making good progress." She answered with a smile.

"That's good to know, just make sure not to push yourself too hard." I said as I walked over to her.

"Don't worry, I'll try not to." Yukina replied before giving me a kiss on the cheek.

I start to blush a little, then I kept the conversation going.

"Are you feeling nervous about taking part in Future World Fes?" I asked.

"Not really." She plainly replied.

"What makes you say that?" I asked, curious to know.

"Because I have the best boyfriend in the world to support, and having you around makes me feel less nervous." She said. I want to believe in that answer, but I guess the look in her eyes would say otherwise.

"That's good to know." I smiled, and she smiled back.

"Well, I better get back to the others now." She told me before giving me a kiss on the cheek.

"Well, okay, good luck." I told her.

Yukina nodded her head before walking back inside and I went back to work.

Near the end of the day...

Location - Minato Residence, Yukina's Room

Finally, my shift at CiRCLE was over for today, and of course, I have another one tomorrow. Thankfully, in the future, Marina was going to give me some time off so I can go support the members of Roselia while they're in Future World Fes.

Once work was done for me, I spotted Yukina waiting for me like she normally does. She asked me if I wanted come back to her house with her. Of course, I said yes. We held hands and we made our way to her place before it got even darker.

As we got there, we were greeted by her father and mother, who was in the kitchen making dinner. Yukina's parents asked me if I wanted to join them for dinner, and I said yes. While we were waiting for the dinner to be done, Yukina took me to her room to review the songs she wanted to use for Future World Fes.

"Alright, here is my song notebook." Yukina said as she handed it to me.

I began to go through them.

"Wow, these are a lot of songs. Did you really write them by yourself?" I asked.

"I did, though I did had a few roadblocks while writing them." She confessed.

"I see. I know the feeling, though." I said while going through the song book.

"Really? How did you overcome it?" Yukina asked.

"Hmmm..." I started to think.

"Sometimes I feel like I need to be somewhere else, so I can visualize the kind of song I want to write." I said.

"Oh I see."

"Your songs are so good, it's kind of hard for me to pick one of them." I said as I continued to go through the song book.

Yukina stayed silent while I was doing my thing. After a while, I was ready to give her my answer.

"I think you should go with this song." I said and showed her.

"That song? Why that song?" She asked.

"Well, to keep it short, out of all the songs you have written here, I think this one catches my attention the most." I said.

Yukina gave me a smile.

"Well, if you think so, then we'll use this song in the first stage, and if we get passed the first stage, Roselia will be in the main event." She said.

"I have confidence that Roselia make it." I smiled.

At least, I am hoping that they make through the first round.
