Chapter 11 - The First Stage

A few days before the first stage...

Location - Minato Residence, Yukina's Room

Yukina's POV

It was early in the morning when I woke up. I checked the time on my phone, and saw that it was 5:00am. I let out a sigh.

"Why did I have to wake up so early?" I said as I placed the phone back on my night stand.

In a few days, the qualifying round to see who gets into Future World Fes will begin. It's on a weekend. And while we felt confident that we can get through the first round without any problems, I am feeling a bit on edge. But...

"What is it? What is making me feel so uneasy?" I asked myself.

Instead of thinking about it, I just went back to sleep instead.

A few hours later...

Location - Residential Area

Now that a few hours have passed, it was time for me to head off for school. Like everyday, Lisa would wait for me outside of my house so we could go to school together.

"Morning Yukina!" Lisa called out.

"Morning Lisa." I said with a yawn.

"That was quite a yawn you let out. Did you get enough sleep?" Lisa asked as we started walking to school.

"I guess you could say that." I replied.

As we were walking to our school, Lisa couldn't help but bring up the Future World Fes event.

"Oh man, with each passing second, Future World Fes keeps coming closer and closer." Lisa began.

"Lisa, are you feeling nervous by any chance?" I asked.

"Yeah... I'd be lying if I said I wasn't." Lisa replied and let out a nervous chuckle.

"We should be fine, though." I said to Lisa. "Remember, we have been working very hard for this event."

"Yeah, you got a point!" Lisa said as a big smile spread across her face.

"By the way, are you feeling nervous yourself?" Lisa asked.

"No, I am completely fine." I replied. Although, I am not really.

"You sure? Well, I guess I shouldn't be surprised." She said.

"I'll be fine as long as I have everyone here to back me up." I said.

"If you say so..." Lisa slowly said as we got to our school.

I might've dodged the bullet there, but it probably won't be long until someone catches on.

The weekend...

Location - Dressing Room

After waiting for days, it was now time to qualify ourselves for Future World Fes. Our entry number is 12, and I can tell that (Y/N) is going to be there to watch us, which is why I don't want to screw up in front of him.

"Rin-rin, it's almost time to get out there." Ako said.

"Yeah... I feel nervous, but... I'll do my best." Rinko replied.

"Imai-san, I couldn't help but notice that you have been shaking for a while. Are you going to be okay?" Sayo asked Lisa.

"Y-Yeah, I should be okay." Lisa said as she tried to keep a straight face.
