~Katya's POV~
A few days passed and, before I knew it, it was Friday and I was leaving my Astrology class, which was the last class I had of the day. I exited the building, securing my bag over my shoulder a little more as I made my way through the parking lot.
"Kat!" I heard Saki's voice call my name as I did so, causing me to glance over my shoulder in search of her. She was supposed to drive me back home to my apartment, or at least that was what she'd told me yesterday. I found her, blinking at the frantic look on her face as she pulled up beside me in her car. "Saki. Is everything okay?" I asked, never having seen her look so frazzled before. Saki hurriedly nodded her head. "Yeah, yeah, I'm just late for work. I forgot I have a shift today, and I don't have time to drop you at your apartment. I'm so sorry, Kat!" She exclaimed, clutching at her steering wheel with her left hand.
I relaxed a little, relieved that it wasn't anything too serious. "Oh, that's okay. You should go so you don't get in trouble." I encouraged her, but she frowned at me, uncertain. "Are you sure?" She worried, causing me to smile in amusement as I nodded my head in affirmation. "Go, dummy." I chuckled with a dismissive wave of my hand. "I'll just call Onyx and make him take me to my apartment instead." I said.
Her brown eyes sparked and she hesitated, but nodded and eventually drove out of the parking lot in a hurry. I watched her drive off, waiting until she was off the campus before I dug my hand into the pocket of my black jeans, pulling out my phone. Scrolling through my contacts, I found Onyx's name and clicked on it, lifting my phone up to my ear as I waited for him to pick up my call. The line rang for a minute or so before his low voice spoke into the line. "What do you want?" He asked expectantly, the attitude in his tone making me cock up a brow to myself. My eyes narrowed down at the concrete of the parking lot and I placed a hand on my hip, leaning all my weight into my right leg. "Really? What if I was calling to ask you to come fuck me? You gonna keep that little snippy tone to your voice then, Onyx?" I scoffed.
There was a pause from his end of the phone. "Are you calling to ask me that?" He asked, and I rolled my eyes. "No." I said honestly, only earning a snort from him. "Then the snippy tone stays." He stated.
"Now, what do you want?" He questioned me again, impatience within his voice at the fact that I hadn't yet said what I was calling for. I huffed, annoyed. "I need a ride back home. Saki was going to take me, but she needed to get to work and now I don't have a way home because the bus isn't stopping by today." I told him, my teeth biting down onto my bottom lip. A heavy sigh left his lips. "Fine. I'll meet you at the front." He said flatly, not bothering to wait for my response before he hung up.
I sighed in relief and put my phone back in the pocket of my jeans, beginning to tap the white sneakers on my feet against the concrete as I waited. His car came pulling into the parking lot, rolling to a halt in front of me before he rolled the window down and peered at me from the driver's seat. "Get in." He demanded flatly, and I quickly did as he said, slipping my way into the passenger's side.
Bucking my seatbelt, I set my bag in my lap and pulled my white crop top up a little more over my chest, noticing my breasts looked as if they were about to fall out of it. Onyx pulled out of the parking lot and began driving, leaving the campus behind as he headed towards my apartment. I pulled the top I wore over it a little closer to my body, the grey and black sports jersey having been left unbuttoned.
As we were driving, I couldn't help but to notice that Onyx seemed a little more tense and annoyed than he normally did, so I decided not to bother him since I knew it'd just piss him off more if I said anything. Instead I decided to look out the window, watching the buildings and car pass us by as we drove down the road. "Katya." Onyx said my name, causing me to blink in surprise as I turned my head to look at him with a furrow between my brows. I, obviously, hadn't expected him to speak to me when he seemed to be so irritable already, so I was caught a little off guard when he did. "What?" I asked, frowning to myself.
His large hands tightened around the steering wheel. "Did you tell anyone about us? The sex, I mean." He asked, the sudden question making my lips part as I sat in stunned silence. "Yes. I told Saki and Zena because they were asking about what was going on between us, so I just said we're having sex." I told him honestly, shrugging my shoulders.
Though I didn't see it as such a big deal, I assumed he didn't feel the same because his jaw clenched tightly and his hands gripped so tightly at the steering wheel I feared he'd break it. "Why would you do that?" He snapped, surprising me at the hostility. I scoffed, glaring up at the side of his face. "Why wouldn't I? I told them what it was, and that was it. Would you have preferred that I let them think something else?" I asked, frustrated that he was making this into something bigger than it was. Sure, I hadn't told them before now but I wasn't going to lie to them if they asked, so I'd been honest.
Onyx pulled the car into the parking lot in front of my apartment, pulling the keys out of the ignition to cut the engine off. "Considering the fact that Zena is now pestering me about it, yes." He snapped, turning his head to give me an icy glare. I gripped my bag tightly in my fists and scowled back at him. "Then just tell her to quit. You can be an asshole to everyone but can't ask for privacy?" I snorted, giving him a look that I knew he understood. I wasn't impressed nor amused.
He grunted, grabbing my wrist to stop me when I unbuckled my seatbelt and went to grab the door handle. The size of his large hand easily swallowed my wrist, sending sparks up my arm from his touch. "I'm not an asshole to people I actually like, first of all. Secondly, it's Zena. She keeps asking me and bringing you up and shit." He grumbled, earning a snort of amusement from me. A sly smile formed on my lips as I peered up at him. "It's because she knows you're a dickhead and that we don't like each-other. Both Saki and her seemed a little wary of it when I told them. I think they're just trying to make sure we know what we're doing." I said. "She'll let it go soon, I'm sure." I added in hopes of reassuring him. I wasn't in the mood to argue, so I just wanted him to accept my response so I could go inside.
A breath of silence passed between us as he simmered in my words, narrowed hazel eyes peering down at me. Eventually, the grip on my wrist was released so I could open the car door. "Fine. I hope you're ready to deal with the repercussions of telling this to them, kitty, because I'll make sure you do." He murmured.
I wasn't sure what exactly he meant by that, but, as I hopped out of the car and spotted the mischievous smirk on his face, I assumed it was something that he knew would piss me off.
