~Katya's POV~

Days passed in which Onyx and I spent the entirety of with one another, most often with him inside of me, or just laying in bed and talking. Despite the fact that we often had the TV on, playing a movie or show, we hardly ever paid any attention to it.

On Thursday, however, I found myself getting dressed at around eleven AM while Onyx was in the shower, as the two of us had plans to go out to lunch together. I was hungry and didn't have anything to make here, so it was easier to just go out to eat. While I waited for him to get out of the shower, I picked out an outfit from my closet and got dressed, having already taken my shower first.

I pulled on a pair of high waisted, all black bungee cord pants and a simple black crop top, a pair of black, high-top Nike jordans on my feet. My eyelashes were coated with mascara, making them longer and darker, and my brows had been neatly filled in. Noticing that my hair was a little bit messy as I looked in the mirror on my vanity table, I quickly brushed out the strands until my hair fell straight down my back, reaching just above my butt.

The bathroom door suddenly opened and Onyx stepped out, wearing nothing but a pair of boxers that clung to his hips, not doing very much at all to hide the large bulge of his dick inside them. He wasn't even hard and yet I could easily see the outline of his shaft.

"Where are your clothes?" I asked him with a huff, crossing my arms over my chest. In his right hand he held a towel, which he used to ruffle his hair, drying it. "Oh, don't get your panties in a twist, kitty." He teased, tossing the towel into the laundry basket just inside my bathroom door before he grabbed his bag from where he'd left it on my bed earlier. While he got dressed, I spritzed myself with a bit of perfume before setting the bottle back on my dresser, biting on my bottom lip as I turned just in time to watch him pull a pair of pants up over his perfectly round, muscular ass.

"Enjoying the view?" He asked with a glance over his shoulder at me, seeming to feel me staring. "Only a little." I responded as I smiled in amusement, wandering closer to him to grab my phone from my nightstand beside my bed. I grabbed my phone, and the second I did I quickly delivered a playful smack to his ass when I moved to step away, grinning when he scowled at me for it. "Tease." He grunted, the muscles in his back flexing as he pulled a shirt on over his head. I simply laughed, the two of us leaving my bedroom after he pulled on his sneakers.

We left my apartment, taking his car together to head to a restaurant called Cantina Laredo, which he had told me was a Mexican restaurant. I curled my legs up on the seat as I sat in the passenger's seat, glancing over at Onyx while he drove. His large hands held tightly to the wheel, the muscles in his torso and arms seeming even more defined beneath the tight fabric of his white t-shirt. I could've started drooling at the sight of him alone.

"You sure like to stare, hm?" He hummed, taking a quick peek over at me. I smiled in amusement and shrugged my shoulders unabashedly. "Yep, and yet I'm still not as bad as you and your grabby hands." I responded playfully, never truly minding it when he touched me.

The edges of his full lips pulled up into an infuriatingly sexy smirk, hazel green eyes focusing back on the road before us. "You been here yet?" Onyx asked as he pulled the car into the parking lot around the restaurant, glancing over to see me shake my head in response. "Nope. There's a lot of restaurants here, many more than in my home town. I don't even know how long it'll take me to get used to it." I said, unbuckling my seatbelt after the car came to a halt and the engine was cut off. He ran his long fingers through his nicely styled hair, cocking up a brow. "Small town, I'm guessing?" He assumed.

Nodding my head, I watched him unbuckle his seatbelt and bit my lip. "Very." I responded with a soft laugh, hopping out of the car when he opened his door.

He and I made our way towards the building, where I stuck close behind him since I wasn't at all familiar with the restaurant. I assumed he'd been here before, obviously. "Come on, kitty." Onyx murmured after he had spoken to the man at the front desk, snapping me out of my thoughts. I must've zoned out while taking in the new surroundings, watching the passing waiters and looking at some of the brightly colored decor.

I shook my head to myself and almost jumped in surprise when Onyx's warm hand closed around my wrist, pulling me along with him. His touch was gentle yet firm, showing that he wasn't willing to let me go, and I couldn't help the way my stomach fluttered with butterflies. My face warmed with the feelings rising within me.

We arrived at a table and sat down, him and I directly across from one another. The waiter left for a little while so we could look at the menu before returning again to take our orders, departing again once we'd told him what we wanted. Naturally, it was just him and I left then, my fingers nervously fiddling with one of the cords on my pants. "You know, I didn't think I'd ever see the day where you and I would be voluntarily having lunch together." I mentioned, causing a low chuckle to leave his lips that had my body warming at the sound. How was it fair for one man to be so attractive?

"Yeah?" He hummed. "And why's that? Because you think I hate you?" He asked as he leaned back against his chair, muscular legs outstretched to reach between mine beneath the table.

My eyebrows shot up at once. "Think?" I echoed, a little amused. "You don't have to pretend, Onyx. I know you hate me, and that's fine." I said with a shrug, unable to stop myself from frowning when he just stared intently at me. He didn't even try to argue or make a jab back at me, like he usually did. "And if I didn't hate you, then what? Would you be fine with that, too?" He wondered, the question catching me incredibly off guard. I didn't understand what he was doing.

Still confused and taken by surprise, I failed to find the words to respond properly to his odd question, so it went unanswered. My mouth tightly sealed itself shut when he shook his head gently after a minute of me not responding, running a large hand over his face. "Never mind." He muttered in resignation. "It doesn't matter anyway." He said. I wanted to argue, to respond, to ask what he meant—anything to fix something that I hadn't known I could even break—but the second I opened my mouth, the waiter arrived with our food in hand.

Our food was placed in front of us before the waiter left again, my eyes remaining on his face as he began to eat, no longer seeming interested in conversation with me. I still wanted to say something, but I didn't have the guts so I ended up just staying quiet instead.

The moment to fix it had passed.
