Copy Cat

Michael and Luke were designated to buy the groceries. That was a horrible mistake considering the fact that Luke could eat pretty much anything at any given time.

"And this!" Luke said grabbing bags of chips and piling them into the cart.

"Geez Luke I'm starting to wonder if you even have a stomach or if it's just a bottomless pit" Michael said pushing the cart down the isle.

Luke paid no mind to Michael's comment and continued searching for more snacks.

"I don't think we can get all this" he said starting to pull out items and scatter them randomly on the shelves.

"But Michaellll" Luke wined "I want it"

"No Luke, put them back" he said pointing to the shelf.

With a pout Luke obeyed and they made their way to the check out. They placed their groceries on the conveyer belt and the lady scanned them.

"Hey" she smiled at Luke.

"Hi.." He said back shyly.

Michael watched.

Luke played with his lip ring.

She giggled.

Michael pushed Luke out of the way and scanned his credit card "let's go" he said and picked up the bags.

"Wait up!" Luke yelled from behind. He struggled with two heavy plastic bags full of food and followed Michael out.

They put them in the back of the car and walked around to the front.

"Shit" Michael said "I left my wallet in there.. Be right back-"

"Wait! I'm coming with you..I don't want to be out here alone" Luke said getting out.

Michael tucked his hands in his pockets and shuffled his feet across the parking lot.

Luke did the same.

Michael looked over at Luke who walked the same way as him. He took his hands out of his pocket and crossed his arms.

Luke looked over and did the same.

"What are you doing Hemmings?" He asked.

"What? Oh! Nothing, walking" he said.

"You're copying me!" He said annoyed.

"No!" Luke argued.

Michael let his hands fall to his side.

Luke did too.

"See!" Michael said stopping.

Luke frowned "so what!" He said continuing to walk ahead.

"Why are you copying me!" He yelled to him.

"Because- you're cool" Luke said softly but just loud enough for Michael to hear.

Michael slowly smiled and followed him inside the store.
