Ashton turned over in bed and rubbed his face. He looked at the clock, it was 5 in the morning. He pushed off the covers and walked out of the room to the bathroom. He passed the living room and looked in, he continued walking. Suddenly he stopped and made a double take to the empty couch "Luke?" He asked in his tired voice. He walked in and looked around to find a note.

It read:

Michael's in trouble and I have to help him, if I'm not back by 2am watch the news

Ashton panicked and quickly turned on the television to the news station "Cal! Emma! Come here quick!" Ashton yelled.

"Well we have some breaking news on a story that happened around midnight, Janice Tucker is in Hollywood California pier ten with the details, Janice" the man said.

Calum and Emma came rushing into the room stumbling from their still sleepy minds.

"What?" Calum asked.

"Shh! Listen" Ashton turned up the volume on the TV.

"Thats right Tom, Luke Hemmings, the escaped prisoner from Australia, was arrested last night and Michael Clifford was pronounced dead on the scene along with two other men who were also wanted criminals" the women said on the television.

The three of them stared at the screen.

"And we just received news that Melissa Greendale, the missing girl from Australia, was also present and is being sent home as we speak" she paused "Janice Tucker from HC news reporting live"

"Alright thank you Janice, there will be more on the story as it develops" the man fixed his papers and continued on with the weather report but Ashton cut him short by pressing the power button.

"Oh my god" Calum said.

The phone rang. Emma darted for it and answered without even checking who was calling "hello?" She asked.

"Uh hi, this is Melissa Greendale" A broken voice said through the phone.

"Oh! Melissa! I'm Emma, Calum's cousin"

"Nice to meet you" she sniffled "I need to talk to the boys"

Emma took the phone away from her ear and handed it to Calum "she wants to talk to you guys"

Calum nodded.

"You mind giving us a moment?" Ashton asked.

"Sure" Emma said understandingly and going back into her room.

"Hey you're on speaker, it's just me and Ash" Calum said into the phone.

"Okay...Mikey-" she stopped. She couldn't even bare to say his name "he wanted" she started to cry again "the last thing he said was to check the note in Luke's passport" she breathed in and out.

Calum looked up at Ashton who left to search Luke's luggage.

"How are you?" Calum asked.

There was a moment of silence "not too good Calum" she admitted "it sounds sappy but...Calum I loved him so much" she broke into tears "I'm sorry..I'm sorry" she breathed in and out again.

Ashton came back into the room with Luke's passport in his left hand and a letter in his right hand.

"We found the letter" Calum said into the phone.

Ashton opened it up end began to read it aloud.

Dear Luke, Ashton and Calum,

I'm sorry...I'm sorry but I have to leave. And I won't be coming back mates, this is it. This is what I've been running from..the bullet found me. But it's okay because I'm ready (I think).
