Chapter 66

Lizzie's pov

I had no idea what to do, I held tightly onto Scarlett's arm as they stood before us. I was just hoping for something to get us out of this. I couldn't be near him, not after everything he has done to Y/N. I didn't want him anywhere near me or our baby. I was scared of what he could do.

"So, Lizzie is it?" His dad said with the same sly smirk while i just nodded.

"Well we have somewhere to be so it was nice meeting you." Scar said abruptly as she turned us both to leave. We were both stopped when I felt a hand grip my wrist.

"But we're just getting started." He said with an irritated expression.

"Can you please let go?" I asked with a shaky voice.

"I'm sorry, I just want to get to know my sons fiancé." He said with a sly smile.

"Well she doesn't want to know you so I suggest you let us leave." Scar said bluntly as she went into mama bear mode.

"Who gives you the right to talk to me like that." He said angrily. I was starting to get scared now. It didn't seem like he was going to let us leave.

Y/N pov

After I had received Lizzie's texts, I ran out of the psychiatrists office and ran to where she is. I ran as fast as I could and tried not to stop. Before I turned the corner I heard my father's voice.

"Who gives you the right to talk to me like that." He said angrily. As soon as I turned the corner I was lucky enough that Jamie and my so called father weren't facing me. But as soon as I saw the frightened look on Lizzie's face I was beyond angry that he had done that.

"Hey, don't you dare talk to my fiancé and her friend like that." I said from behind him. As soon as he and Jamie turned around I looked disappointed at him. "I thought you were better than him Jamie but I guess I was wrong."

"What are you going to do about it? You're nothing but a coward." Dad spat at me while I just shook my head. I started to think about all of the times he beat me up when i was younger. The guards that had tortured me and my unit on my last tour and I just felt myself get angry.

"I'm not a coward. You are. You're the one that beat up a child for sport and now you're harassing to women and you still think you're the big man." I said calmly surprising myself with how much anger I am feeling right now.

"Says the man who couldn't save the ones who died while you were captured." He spat back. I just couldn't hold myself back anymore. I threw a punch to his face knocking him down. I watched as Jamie helped him up on his feet as he wiped his mouth.

"I don't want to see either of you again. I'm sorry Jamie but I wanted nothing more than to trust that your intentions were true but not now. I'm done we're done." I said as I walked passed them to check on Lizzie. "Are you OK?" I asked as I looked in her eyes while she just nodded. "Let's get you home OK. Scar can you take her home, I'll be there soon."

"Yeah of course." She said softly as she lead Lizzie away.

"Text me when you're on your way home." She said softly while I just nodded. I watched as they disappeared around the corner before I turned around to be met by a fist. And it didn't stop there. As soon as he had me on the floor he just kept punching me. I don't know why I didn't fight back but I didn't. He wouldn't have stopped if Jamie hadn't pulled him off me.

"Come on dad, that's enough." He said sternly. "You're gonna kill him."

"I dont care." He said through gritted teeth.

"Come on dad, let's get you home and cleaned up." He said as he dragged him away. While I just lay there until everything went black.

Lizzie's pov

It's been a couple of hours since we've been home and Y/N is still not here. I am getting beyond worried. Scar is still with me. She didn't want to leave me alone after what had happened.

"So that was his dad." She said softly while I just nodded. "He used to beat him up?"

"Yeah. He's put him in hospital a few times when he was in school. He joined the army to get away from them. Jamie was always out for ice cream with his mum whenever he would get a beating." I said as I let a tear slip.

"I just can't believe he had to go  through that." She said sadly.

"I just want to know why he's here. Why they're both here. There must be a reason." I said skeptically.

"I texted colin to see if he would be able to look around for him." She said making me look up at her.

"What about Rose?" I asked with a furrowed brow.

"She's with my mum." She told me while I nodded. I don't know how long we were both sat there for until Scars phone rang.

"Yeah. Okay thank you babe. We will be there as quick as we can." She said before she hung up. I looked at her waiting for her to talk. "Come on we've got to go. He found him but he was out cold and beat up." She said as we both got our things and I locked up before getting in her car to go to him. I hated seeing him get hurt but the way he protected Scar and I was really hot. I just hope that it's nothing serious, because I need him with me to grow old together and raise our family.
