Chapter 78

Y/N pov

I watched over as both Freya and Lizzie were asleep. I couldn't wipe the stupid smile off my face. Nothing would take it away. I have the perfect little family here in this room. We're still waiting for the doctors to do their final checks on both of them so we can go home. Her parents have went to pick up the twins from the airport so Lizzie was getting some rest before they arrived. Everyone else has sent their congratulations and said that they're going to wait until they're both settled in at home to visit. I was slowly drifting off to sleep myself since it was peaceful in here.

Lizzie's pov

I woke up to the sound of the door opening. I was greeted with smiles off the twins and my parents. My dad went to Freya instantly as the twins gave me a soft hug.

"Hey." They said quietly as they noticed Y/N asleep in the chair.

"Hey. I'm so happy you guys came." I whispered as they both gave me a hug before they looked over at Freya.

"She looks just like you." Ashley said softly making me smile.

"Yeah she's gorgeous." MK smiled as they watched her in my dad's arms. As the three of them stayed over with Freya my mum sat beside me.

"So how are you feeling?" She asked me softly.

"Honestly, besides the slight pain you know, I feel great. Amazing actually. I honestly don't know why I was so nervous." I told her softly. I watched as she was about to speak when we noticed Y/N started to get restless and whinper in his sleep.

"Does that happen often?" She asked me.

"I don't know really. He told me he still has nightmares every night but I've never saw the way they affect him. He's always awake before me." I told her as we both watched Y/N.

"Is he still seeing his therapist?" She asked softly.

"Yeah he is. He sees them twice a week." I told her.

"Has he been to see the young man's family?" She asked me and I just shook my head. "Maybe it would be good for him. To try and get some closure. It might help him." I thought about what she said and it makes sense. Maybe it is what he needs, to know that it isn't his fault. It didn't take too long for him to startle awake as he looked around the room. It was like he was trying to make sure that this was real.

"Are you OK baby?" I asked him softly as he looked at me.

"Yeah I'm good. I'm just going to get some air." He said as he stood up and kissed my head before he headed out of the room.

"I'll go check on him." MK said softly as I just nodded and watched as she followed him out of the room

Y/N pov

As I was walking down the hall to the courtyard needing some air. I heard rushed footsteps behind me.

"Hey, are you sure you're OK?" MK asked me as she caught up to me.

"Yeah I'm fine." I said as I carried on walking.

"How long have you're nightmares been going on for?" She asked me softly. I looked at her confused. "We all knew you were having one." I nodded in acknowledgement.

"They happen every night." I told her as we both sat on a bench.

"Are you still seeing your therapist?" She asked me.

"Yeah I am. I haven't had any episodes in a very long while. Its just the nightmares that happen now." I said as I looked at my feet.

"Isn't there anything that could help with them." She asked softly

"No. There's nothing that can help them. I thought that they would ease up by now but they just keep coming." I said quietly.

"Is it to do with you know?" She asked me. I know what she is asking but she is trying not to trigger anything.

"Yeah. I wake up and sometimes I get confused at what's real. Sometimes I think that this is all something that my mind has made up to help me cope." I told her honestly. "I honestly don't know why I'm telling you all of this." I laughed out nervously.

"That's because you trust me. What is it that you see?" She asked me quietly.

"Uhm. It was my time over there." I said quietly.

"Does lizzie know about what you see?" She asked and I just shook my head

"She only knows that I have nightmares still. I don't want to tell her what they are. She doesn't need the extra pressure." I told her as she shook her head at me.

"It's not added pressure. She loves you so much and she won't care about any pressure or stress that you think you're giving her." She said softly. "You know, since she has been with you she's been the happiest that I have ever seen her. She's had this glow about her that none of us have ever seen."

"You think so." I said quietly.

"I know so." She said as she patted my knee before standing up. "Come on let's go and get everyone coffee because I know I need one." She said smiling while I stood up and followed her.

Lizzie's pov

I was feeding Freya as my dad stood outside to give some privacy. I was worried about Y/N but I know that he's going to be OK because hes got MK with him. It didn't take long for them to walk back in the room with coffees for everyone.

"Hey, green tea for my queen." He said as he placed the cup down on the table with a wide smile.

"Thank you." I said as I finished on feeding a sleeping Freya. Y/N took her and out her down in her cot as we all sat and talked. As my parents and the twins were stood watching Freya sleep I looked to Y/N.

"Are you OK?" I asked him softly.

"Yeah I'm ok." He said with a smile.

"Do you want to talk about it?" I asked him softly

"Not yet, we will when we're all home and the both of you are settled." He said softly with a smile which I returned. It didn't take long for the doctor to give us both the all clear to go home which I was thankful for. I wanted my cuddles off my man. Once we had Freya strapped in her seat and they sat me in a wheelchair we all made our way to the car. Once we were all strapped in we started our journey home.

"I can't wait to get home." I sighed as I watched the buildings go by.

"I bet you can't." He said with a chuckle. The journey didn't take too long before we were home. Once we were inside, Y/N helped me inside as he had Freya in her seat. He helped me upstairs and in bed before he put Freya in the cot beside our bed. I couldn't help but smile at the way he is with the both of us. I could see the happiness in his eyes as he looked down at Freya. "I'm going to get the bags from the car. Is there anything you want me to bring up for you?" He asked me softly.

"Can I get some orange juice and some chocolate?" I asked him.

"I'll be back in a sec." He said as he gave me a sweet kiss before he left the room. I couldn't help but smile and close my eyes for a moment before he came back in the room. He put my drink and snack on the nightstand before he went for a shower. Once he was finished he climbed in beside me and I instantly gravitated towards him. I sighed in content as I melted into his embrace before slowly falling into my slumber.
