"Hello..." The guy says "Who's he? Your new boyfriend?" I say "Yes actually his name is Paul," my mom says "Get the fuck out Paul." I say smirking "Honey! We need to stay a day that's all! Please" my mom begs me "Why do you have a house?" I ask

Casper hears all the noise and comes into the room and starts to bark at Paul

"Casper! Shush," I yell at him and he stops barking, I hear him whisper to my mom "Your daughter has this kind of dog? She doesn't even seem like the person to have one," he whispers to my mom

"I can hear you, you idiot," I say "Aurelia! Don't speak to him that way," My mom yells at me "Stay in my guest room.. don't eat any of my food go buy yourself food .. also don't use my shower," I say being controlling

"Of course, you have to be that way!" my mom sighs, she knows I'm joking and that I take my jokes a little far so...

I have to get rid of him.

During the night I decided to do it,

I got a fake knife just to joke around. This is gonna be so good they'll die from being so scared.

I go in—

"Aurelia-" my mom screams coming towards me.. she drops

I stood in silence, I saw a guy with shiny black hair and a red... knife

My mother was bleeding a lot

When he had turned around, I saw his face. I broke down

It was Paul.

I stared at him in disbelief.

"Look Aurelia I wanted her dead." He has a shaky psycho tone I didn't know what to do or how to save my mother from this

"You ruined everything, Aurelia," he continues holding the knife "I was going to blame you and say I heard a voice from here," he says like he's going crazy. I needed to get to my mother. He looks at me, stares at me like he's going to kill me next. He opens his house to speak but my mother had slipped the knife out of his hand

And stabbed him to where he fell to the ground screaming "Ohhh! You stupid bitch!!" He yells quickly run to my mom covering her with a towel

I realized I had my phone in my pocket and called the police.

When they arrived, it was a blur.

I had passed out

I woke up in the hospital, a cold white bed, I saw a doctor sitting next to me "Where is my mom is she alright" I say worried, the doctor gets startled for a second. She definitely wasn't expecting me to wake up

She turns to me and looks at me, she stares for a second "Your mother is another room she lost a lot of blood," she stops for a moment, it made me worried "but luckily she did survive, if you didn't come in to cover her she would've been dead."

I was in relief, she got up from the chair "You passed out, you were very stressed and never seen so much blood before." She looks at me up and down "You'll be fine." She walks out to give me privacy

I start to look at the room more, I had nothing else better to do. There was this beautiful landscape painting it had this horizon, with a beautiful sunset that colored the sky, it had lots of trees. I admired it

There was a big window it was bright and clear outside, I wanted to lay in the grass.

It was awfully silent in here and quite cold,

There was a chair it was round and looked very comfy, it was a faded purple.

I watched the birds while they flew across the sky.

I wonder what it could be like as a bird, flying without any worries

I wish I were a bir—

The door opened and I saw a slim girl she had pale skin with dark brown hair.

"Hello Aurelia," she walks towards me, her heals click clack on the ground "you don't look very amused to see me, don't you remember me?"

I don't

"Hm seems like you don't," she chuckles "oh well never mind that," she sits on the white cold bed "are you feeling okay?" She asks looking at me, with those dark eyes.

"Yes I am quite better, it wasn't a great feeling to see that." I look away from her, I look out the window "That's good, but your mother is going to stay until she fully heals." I look at her I'm relief that she's okay.

She gets up and looks away from me, her heals click clack, click clack, click clack.

Until I can't hear them anymore

Aurelia: 8

House, living room

"Mother who's this?" Aurelia says while a guy and she are sitting on the couch.. her dad wasn't gonna be home in 2 days for business trips "My new husband," her mom says smiling. Aurelia didn't know how to react so she said

"God he's ugly," Her mom looked at her in disappointment "You're ugly too, Aurelia," her mom says knowing she was jealous of her own daughter's looks

Aurelia could tell that guy hated her... at this point, she's used to this it's been 15 random guys at her house while her dad is out.

Her dad finally was home one day while her mom and a guy were having sex.

When her dad came in they didn't hear him bc they were being loud...

So the dad barged into the room seeing them

"What the FUCK?!" Her dad screams "Honey! Honey! I can explain please" Her mom says begging "I'll leave" the guy tries to leave but her dad stops him "Try me skinny guy... and small dick," her dad says

The guy gets away and runs out of the house while Aurelia is trying to sleep.

"You whore!" Her dad yelled at her mom

They had fought for hours on end .. no silence

Aurelia couldn't sleep that night

—reality—

After a couple days I got to go home, I was sad I couldn't see that painting anymore. But so glad I didn't have to eat that oatmeal every morning.
