Gail is the one for me.

When I met her, I promised myself that I will shower her with my love, my care, my admiration. I did everything for her. I pursued her until she said yes. I was fucking happy that time. She finally became my girlfriend.

I was 21 when we became official and she's 20. We loved each other. We update each other. It was all going smooth until we both graduated. It was all smooth until she cheated.

She cheated with her boy bestfriend.

Gail is the one for me? Damn you, Victorious. You're fucking wrong. She cheated on you. Caught on act, so no. She's not the one for you.

Paglabas ko ng bahay ni Gail, dumiretso ako sa bus station. I'm fucking mad! Mad because of what I saw! Napabuntong hininga ako dahil sa bigat na nararamdaman. I prepared all week just to surprise her pero, ako pala 'yung masusurpresa. Wow.

I pulled out the hood of my jacket to cover my head. Naiinis ako kasi umiiyak ako. No matter how hard I tried to wipe those damn tears, pabalik-balik pa rin kaya tinakpan ko na lang.

A bus stopped. I took a moment to look for the bus' late number before I walk and get in. Nakayuko akong pumasok at naghanap ng upuan. I sat on the nearest seat I saw and leaned my head on the chair. Umandar ang bus pero nanatiling nakapikit ang mata ko.

After a while of closing my eyes, I heard a commotion. Gusto kong imulat ang mata ko pero hinihila ako bigla ng antok.

What the fuck? How can I sleep amidst chaos?

I heard shouts making me open my eyes wide. My eyes widened when I felt the bus move in a strange way and before I knew it, the bus fell off the cliff.

I groaned and almost cry in pain. Pinilit kong bumangon pero sobrang sakit ng katawan ko. I took a deep breath, trying to reduce the pain but an explosion happened.

My eyes remain open as I look at the starry night. I suddenly had the urge to paint this view I'm seeing right now but, all the courage I had broke down when suddenly, my vision became black.

"Bro, humihinga ka pa ba d'yan?" I look at my brother and chuckled.

"Tingin mo, Kuya?" Tanong ko at muling pinagmasdan ang paligid. Mga taong nagbabatian at nag-uusap usap. Napahinga ako nang malalim at yumuko dahil hindi ko maitago ang ngiti sa mukha ko.

This is it. I'm getting married to the woman I love.

Finally, after the darkness, the sufferings and our own battles, we won and now, we are here. We are about to make a promise for eternity.

I closed my eyes as I felt tears clouding my eyes and all the memories came flashing in my mind.

"P're, dito ka lang. Puntahan ko muna si Pia, 'wag kang aalis d'yan." I nodded at bit. I heard Parker's footsteps fading so, I assumed, nakalayo na s'ya.

I sighed and remain standing there for a second until I heard some voices from a near distance. I heard children laughing and playing. I heard ice cream bells ringing. Nahumaling ako sa naririnig kaya naglakad ako sa tulong ng hawak kong stick. Kung normal lang ang kalagayan ko, malamang tinakbo ko na 'yon pero, wala eh.

I walk slowly, trying my best not to hit or bump to anyone or anything. Papalakas nang papalakas ang tawanan at boses kaya alam kong malapit na 'ko. It's all going smooth until, I tripped.

"Aish..." I hissed when I felt myself fell. Napakamalas naman, oh.

I stayed sitting on the ground and waiting for someone to help pero, alam kong para lang akong naghihintay ng barko sa airport kaya hindi na ako umasa. I was about to stand when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I flinched and look around pero, halos masapak ko ang sarili ko.
