"I was wondering if this looks good, Cherry?"

It had been only a month since Amir, his old friend, became the Delyrian Queen's official concubine. The title itself was more of a formality than anything; Amir made it quite clear that he accepted (mostly) for political reasons, although Faris couldn't help but think otherwise with this racy display. He'd always been too casual for his own good.

Sheer, pure white silk was draped over Amir's shoulder and hugged his pale skin at the hips. Bright rouge was painted under his bottom eyelashes, subtly framing his sky-blue eyes, although he wore minimal makeup to accentuate his already natural beauty. (Faris really hated admitting the fact that Amir had grown handsome, not with the memories of his god awful behavior, but he supposed the embarrassment had settled over the years after he got to know Zafir.) It was the simplistic yet privileged look of consorts favored by Allelic nobility, and Faris wondered if it was his family's or Amir's own idea to bring such a garment.

Cherry, unfortunately, seemed quite interested.

"It looks beautiful. I haven't seen many people in Allelyn during my visit," she said, admitting the latter part with a sigh. "We just stayed in that palace and didn't get much of a chance to go out and explore. I figured it might be fun to do next time we visit."

"Oh, trust me, there aren't many people wearing /this/ around the streets of Allelyn." Amir couldn't help but laugh at Cherry's wistful comment; here he was posing for the both while Cherry fantasized about travel. The woman really needed a break, didn't she... Though he'll be glad to give her one. "I am a royal concubine, aren't I? It's been a month since I've started to leech on your generosity, Cherry, so I hoped to... Repay it in ways a courtesan should."

Oh no. There was that fiendish grin. Faris was sent back a decade within his memories: nothing good ever happened when Amir made that expression.

His eyes now shifted from Cherry to Faris, quite wickedly in fact, as Amir sauntered over to the edge of the bed where those two sat. It had taken quite a bit of work to help speed up Cherry's duties and make room for this in the schedule. Amir supposed he should milk it as muuuuch as possible; to have his former paramour and his bombshell wife sitting on the same bed, in the same dimly lit room--- he couldn't help but tease them a little. "Although maybe I should start with your husband over there, from how he was ogling me earlier."

Was he? Faris instinctively averted his gaze to the floor, a sure admittance of guilt. "And what else did you expect?" he quipped, surprisingly bolder than usual. "Don't say you actually had any pure intentions for having us both here, honestly."

Amir's smug expression didn't budge. It was so easy to tell when Faris was flustered. "That's right, I didn't, but why else would I dress up like this? I'm looking for a bit of fun. Oh, don't look at me like that," he purred, setting a hand on Faris' chin, "I know you want it too."

The atmosphere turned from lighthearted to nearly hot now. Cherry peeked over to Faris at the corner of her eye, setting a hand on his to reassure him if he was at all uncomfortable, yet something about his easy compliance surprised her. Was it that simple to get Faris on board? She knew he often agreed to whatever she asked, but it was rare for him to admit wanting to be pleased. Or was it something about his past relationship with Amir?

Well, it was no use to deliberate about it. The usual sadness in Faris' eyes had quickly ebbed away into a shy, almost coquettish arousal, and he didn't deny it with his next few words.
