Anne's Pov
"W-We should head back and see if father has got any news about Sasha"
Staring at her, I soon realised what was happening and I quickly jumped back to avoid her feeling uncomfortable with how close we were.
"S-Sorry about that" I apologised.
She told me that it was okay and the both of us left the balcony with the awkward aura following us inside the castle.
Man, I need to stop making Marcy feel uncomfortable.
As we walked beside each other, I thought about what we talked on the balcony. How she asked me if she was annoying, clumsy, selfish, etc.
It really caught me off-guard when she asked me that question cause never in my time here in amphibia did I ever thought of her that way.
I mean, how can you dislike Marcy for all of those reasons?
She's smart, kind, a literal sweetheart and all of the nice things I could think of in every corner of my dumbass brain to describe about her.
My eyes moved towards Marcy's face and my cheeks started burning up as I quickly noticed that Marcy was looking at me as well.
"You know what Anne, I'm starting to question about your face getting red nowadays" Marcy said.
I tried to think of an excuse to make sure she didn't get the idea of me having any feeling for her, but I stopped after I heard Marcy giggling at the sight of me.
She gave me a soft nudge on my shoulder signalling me that we have finally arrived at the door of the throne room.
Our topic quickly changed when we heard the king angrily shouting at someone and the sound of thumping footsteps came closer to the door before I pulled Marcy and I behind a pillar to hide.
"Sire, I'm sorry but-"
"Enough! I have heard enough from you general yunnan" The king's voice echoed through the hallway.
His voice gave me goosebumps down my body as I watched the scene of Yunnan leaving the hallway where the king stood for a moment to take a deep breath.
"I have never seen father like this before" Marcy whispered.
I looked over to her before turning my attention back to the king where he started to walk back inside his throne room with a loud bang of the doors closing behind him.
"I'm guessing we won't get any answers from the king himself right now." I said.
Marcy and I stood out from the shadows and thought of what we should do now.
If we can't get answers about Sasha's whereabouts from king Andrias, then who can we ask for?
It took us a moment to figure out our next plan but thanks to Marcy's quick thinking, she brought up a plan that instead of asking her father about it, why not we go and ask Yunnan if she knows anything about sasha's location or anything that leads us towards her direction.
"That's a good idea, Yunnan may or may not have info about Sasha but it's a good start"
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Marcy shouted.
We both ran out towards the same direction we last saw Yunnan headed towards and soon we saw her gathering her soldiers for something we didn't know of.
Marcy caught her attention and the general herself bowed before her majesty's presence.
She immediately asked Yunnan if she knew anything about Sasha's location or anything that leads us towards her and thankfully she did have some info about where she might be.
"Really? Do you know where she went?" Marcy asked,
"We don't exactly know where she's headed off to, but I did hear from one of my scouts that the toads from the southern tower did report that Sasha was last seen there a few days ago" Yunnan replied.
Hmm... I might be wrong or right, but I think the reason why she might have gone there is probably she had some issue she had to deal with her adoptive father.
I don't remember what it was but I know that's probably the reason why she might have left Newtopia in such a hurry.
"Alright, thanks for your help general Yunnan"
"Always, princess marcy" she replied before turning her attention back to her soldiers.
The two of us walked towards where joe sparrow was resting and we decided to make our way to the Southern toad tower to see if we could get anymore answers from captain grime himself about Sasha.
I've never seen the guy but I've heard of him and his accomplishments as captain so I'm hoping he isn't as bad as they say he is.
Sasha's Pov
Why couldn't they just leave me alone?
If they did, then none of these innocent newtopian soldiers would have to die by my swords.
The feeling of pain overwhelmed me as I knelt down on the ground with my two swords dug deep into the ground as I used them to support my body while catching my breath.
The sound of howling from the distance signalled me that dagger was nearby and it made me feel happy that he was okay after dealing with the rest of the other soldiers following us.
It took me a moment to realise that nightfall was about to come and I started to walk gently towards the sound of dagger's howls and took a rest after finding him inside the woods.
The Scorpileo himself started to whimper in worry of the blood that was dripping from my wounds, but I told him not to worry as I have handled these kinds of injuries before.
Slowly reaching out inside my bag, I grabbed a few bandages and treatments that I have brought along with me and started to take my armour and shirt off, leaving my bra on as I started to clean my wound up slow and steadily.
Let's just say it's the worst fucking feeling getting stabbed near the stomach.
Those soldiers must have been trained well to get me this injured badly. Thankfully though, I'm still the top of my fighting skills against a dozen of them after me.
General Yunnan must be a great teacher if her soldiers have managed to place a hit on me that bad.
After I mended my wounds, I took a deep breath of fresh air to take in the beautiful aroma of the wildlife surrounding us.
Dagger likes it too, but it seems he has fallen asleep before he could even enjoy the sight of fireflies flying peacefully in the night sky.
Well, can't blame the big fella for fighting today. The poor guy must be drained from all of what happened today, especially since there is probably more that will be coming our way towards the northern tower.
But for now, I should probably get some rest too before we can continue our quest to finding the answers to my questions from all the other toad leaders.

As you can see, I am finally back and I'm so happy that you have been very patient with me as I took a few days break from writing.
I finally got enough sleep and I'm feeling a lot better than a few days ago so yeah, it was a good sign that I should start writing again.
But anyways, I hope you like this chapter (that I probably kinda rushed) and I'll see you guys soon on the next.
