The night was cool when Marcy headed out for some fresh air. Sleeping was nice but going out while everyone else was in bed was one of her favourite things to do.

The newtopian princess has always loved a moment of silence as she couldn't hear anyone but herself talk. Tonight, Marcy couldn't sleep at all, nor was she able to eat dinner with Anne and the plantars earlier.

With having the eyes of a certain frog, she couldn't help but remember how it all happened.

It was the day the herons attacked the village. There was so much devastation and the buildings were all shattered and burned to ashes.

Sprig and polly were able to survive the attack but for their parents, not so much. On that same day, Marcy and her newtopian guards came and visited the small town for a small trip. Then, just as they were about to leave, chaos struck upon Wartwood as they left the small town defenceless.

Marcy couldn't blame sprig for being so mad at her. If she had gotten a bit of her confidence up, she could've been able to stand up and fight those nasty herons before everyone else have gotten hurt.

But because of her poor decision, she ordered her men to retreat back to newtopia without a care about the fellow citizens of Wartwood.

Marcy felt like punching herself in the face for being such a coward, but she couldn't do it once she felt a single tear fall off from the left side of her face. She wiped it off, making sure no one was seeing nor hearing her cry outside in the middle of the night.

Gosh, you're such a crybaby Marcy

She thought,

While she minded her own business, Anne suddenly woke up by the sudden chill of the wind coming from the open door that Marcy had left open.

She noticed that the girl was no longer sleeping in her sleeping bag and slowly made her way out through the door. There she saw Marcy looking at the sky as she made her way to grab a seat beside her on the grass.

Marcy kind of knew who the presence belonged to and ignored her while they sat there in silent without saying a word to each other.

A few minutes passed by and Marcy couldn't help but ask her why she was awake this late at night. The thai girl could say the same thing to her, but she shoved it away and responded that the open door woke her up. Marcy realised she had left the door opened and immediately apologised to Anne for disturbing her sleep.

"Frog, I really am pathetic" Marcy added, confusing Anne by this.

"What do you mean? It's normal for everyone to leave a door open, it's no big deal" Anne said, but that wasn't the case when she suddenly heard marcy crying.

Anne, masked with shock, was too stunned to ask why she was crying. All she could do was wrap the small girl between her arms and hold her tight, showing no sign of letting her go.

Marcy's tears slowly soaked onto Anne's clothes but she didn't mind it at all since her only concern was the princess.

"M-Marcy? What's wrong?" Anne asked,

There was a moment of silence before Anne realised that the girl had already fallen asleep on her chest. Anne sighed before she fixed herself properly so that Marcy could sleep comfortably while she waited around till she also fell asleep.

Sprig's POV

When the sunlight hit my room, I immediately jumped off my bed and quickly prepared myself for the day.
