So Veronica decided to come clean at everything about her life and mostly about her feelings.
Even though Betty was hurt knowing that Archie had sex with her, she knew it wasn't the time to make it about her.
Veronica was struggling with her marriage and now divorce she just heard of.
" God, I feel like an asshole, all these time you were struggling with all these shit and I just didn't notice?" Betty felt like shit
" No it's not your fault, I just wasn't ready to tell you guys yet...I felt embarrassed." Vee cried her voice was shaking. Betty could tell so she pulled her in for a hug both crying their eyes out.
" I'm sorry Vee you had to go through this shit alone " Betty patted her
" Well for once, I wasn't alone." Her lips formed a smile thinking of the raven haired guy.
" Jughead." Betty chuckled
" Yeah, it's amazing isn't it? From not standing eachother since highschool to being friends....I never thought this would happen." She also chuckled nervously.
" Yeah, just like how you have feelings for him now." Betty confessed as Vee just looked her with hurt expression that she wish it wasn't true.
" Yeah." Vee low key nodded " I figured." Betty smiles nudging her.
" Betty just don't....don't make fun of me." Vee grinned.
" Sorry I just never thought, I'd see this day....you Veronica out of all women with Jughead Jones."
" I know but I like him, I don't know I'm just happy being around him. I can be myself bossy and we can just argue about literal words....I just love him." Vee blabbered
" Vee?! Oh my God..." Betty got shocked
" What?" Vee was literally confused did she say anything wrong. Her eyes grew big.
"--Your falling in love with him." Betty concluded after what she said
"What no...I'm not." She kept laughing in disbelief " no Betty, I don't fall easily....I didn't." Vee mumbles confused or maybe she did.
The next day
B: so are you gonna go?
V: I don't know, I'm just confused
Vee didn't get why she was so confused, it was so simple the old Veronica would not waste a chance to go on a date but here she was nervous debating not to go.
Jughead was already there at sweet water river just waiting for Vee.
He sat there thinking about how he hurt Tabitha by telling her how he was feeling both her and Veronica.
" I can't believe I was a fool, I should've seen this coming. You spending alot of time with eachother. She didn't take it well but atleast he had to come clean than hurting both of them.
It has been an hour since the time Vee and him agreed to meet. Jughead sat there wondering if maybe he just read her wrong and he was the only feeling her.
It was now 3:00 pm and Jug didn't want to give up yet. He thought she'll just come... he hoped deep in his heart that this woman has to turn up.
"Hey." A voice behind him called making him smile after seeing her. There she was smiling at him. Atleast now he knew that it was mutual.
The two were just grinning ear to ear not sure how to act Infront of eachother. Vee couldn't help but feel like a high school girl crush. They were having picnic and it was sweet and surprising for Veronica because Jughead had it all prepared.
" I didn't know Forsythe Jones had this romantic side." Veronica smiled .
" Well, you don't know alot of surprising things about me." Jughead smirked pouring wine on each of their glasses.
