As we walked out of the school gates, I noticed the twins lingering by my side, seemingly in no rush to part ways. An idea struck me, and I turned to them with a grin.
"You guys need a ride home?" I offered casually, twirling my car keys around my finger.
Both of them looked at me, surprised.
"You drive?" Atsumu blurted, his brows shooting up.
I chuckled, amused by their reactions. "Yeah, is that so surprising?"
"Didn't peg ya for a driver," Osamu added with a grin. "What kinda car ya got?"
I pointed over to the sleek black BMW parked near the curb. The twins exchanged a glance, clearly impressed, before nodding.
"All right, let's see if the new Captain's as smooth on the road as she is on the court," Atsumu teased, making his way toward the car.
We piled in, with Osamu claiming the front seat and Atsumu settling into the back. I could feel the twin's curiosity, and I smirked to myself as I started the engine, the car purring to life.
"So, is this your car, or are ya borrowin' it from someone?" Osamu asked, glancing around at the leather interior.
"It's mine," I said, keeping my eyes on the road. "Saved up and got it last year. I figured if I was going to be transferring schools, I might as well have a way to get around on my own terms."
"Not bad," Osamu nodded approvingly. "Bet it's nice to have some freedom, huh?"
"It really is," I replied. "Helps when I need to clear my head too."
Atsumu leaned forward from the back seat, his usual smirk in place. "So, you're the new girls' team captain, you drive a nice car—what else don't we know about ya, Yuki?"
I laughed, glancing at him in the rearview mirror. "Wouldn't you like to know, Miya?"
Osamu snickered, elbowing him lightly. "Looks like she's not gonna spill her secrets so easily."
"Guess I'll just have to stick around longer and find out," Atsumu replied, a hint of a challenge in his voice.
As we drove through the city, conversation flowed easily, with the twins playfully bickering and filling me in on some of the quirks of Inarizaki. As we drove through the neighborhood, Osamu glanced over, seeming genuinely curious. "So, you live close by?"
"Yeah, actually," I replied. "Not too far."
Atsumu leaned forward, eyebrows raised. "Close enough to walk, or...?"
Before I could answer, Osamu pointed toward a familiar-looking house. "That's ours, right there," he said, nodding toward a cozy, traditional-style home up ahead.
"No way," I said, eyes widening as I looked closer. "I live right next door."
The twins exchanged glances, shock quickly turning into amusement.
Atsumu burst out laughing in the back. "You're not gettin' rid of us, Yuki. We're practically family now!"
I chuckled, shaking my head. "Great, so now I get to deal with you two at school and at home?"
Osamu shrugged, smirking. "Looks like it."
"Well, Captain, don't be surprised if we start showin' up for breakfast," Atsumu teased.
I rolled my eyes playfully. "As long as you bring coffee."

After settling in, I went through the familiar evening routine—shower, change into pajamas, and brush my teeth, feeling the day's events finally sink in. Moving to a new school, becoming team captain, and somehow ending up with the Miya twins as my neighbors—my head was spinning, but in the best way.
Just as I was climbing into bed, my phone buzzed on the nightstand. I glanced at the screen and saw my brother's name, Tobio, lighting up. I picked up, smirking a little to myself.
"Hey, lil bro," I greeted, leaning back against the headboard.
"Hey," he said, his tone blunt as usual. "You get there okay?"
"Yep, all settled in," I replied, suppressing a yawn. "Guess what—I'm already the team captain."
There was a pause, and I could practically hear him processing that. "Captain? Already?" he asked, a hint of pride seeping through his usually stoic tone.
"Yeah, they really needed someone to step up, so... I'm it," I said, unable to hide the satisfaction in my voice.
"Well, don't get cocky about it," he replied, though I could tell he was smiling. "Just work hard."
I laughed, rolling my eyes. "Yeah, yeah, like I'd do anything else."
A comfortable silence settled between us before he added, "If you need help with any plays or anything, just let me know."
"Thanks, Tobio," I replied, warmth spreading through me at his offer. "But you know, I'm pretty good at this whole volleyball thing too."
