"Heejin? What's happening?"

It was Yujeong, looking for me.

"Manager Lee called, says there's a big project we'll be doing. He's picking us up in 15 minutes, get the others from their rooms." I said, slightly annoyed.

"Is he serious? Now?"

"Yep, now. Should've just brought us to the building after our interviews if they were gonna call us up anyway."

We had schedules from early in the morning, surely nothing was important enough to get us back to the company at 8pm? Usually, we would be practising, working, or eating, but today had been a little different and we had gotten some time off.

"Did Anna send them new songs? Is that it?"

"No, I don't think so, I wasn't quite done with the lyrics yet. By that I mean I asked her to wait. But go get her, and make sure that Soobin and Jiwon are properly dressed, just in case."

"Okay. Wait for us."

I myself washed my face with a little water, left my make-up products, and instead pulled my hair together before putting on a clean outfit.

I should've done my horribly bushy eyebrows and put on the bare basics of make-up. I wished I put more on, but fifteen minutes just isn't enough.

And, well, I had no idea if my outfit was suitable, but it would be okay.

Me, Yoon Heejin, 20 year old member of Blinding. We debuted 3 years ago on May 7th, with 5 members. Our debut was a bit rough for a group under JYP Entertainment, but we gained fame over time, and we were now known for being the best self-produced girl group.

The best self-producing boy group was Full Moon. They were under JYP Entertainment, also had 5 members, and debuted three years ago on May 7th. Maybe you're thinking: "Hmm, that sounds eerily similar to something I've heard before." Well. People called us the twin groups. It's a title we would never be able to shake off. Us two, we were a failed experiment.

In fact, everyone hoped for one of us to flop so hard that we both slightly flopped at our debut. It was a bit embarrassing, I can't lie, but both groups kept growing and are now some of the most popular groups of our gen.

We, the members of Blinding, had never known the members of the other group that well. When it was announced that a boy group and girl group would debut at the same time, many talented trainees left because they were scared of flopping, and that included all of our male friends. I used to think they made the right choice after some of them debuted in extremely popular groups.

Between the trainees that were left, there was only jealousy towards the better ones and an extreme competitiveness.

One thing you have to know about everyone who had been a potential member for Blinding and Full Moon, was that the candidates.. at least, most of us were amazing singers and dancers. Rappers weren't as present. Well, anyway, what I meant to say was that standing out between everyone required more than talent, and for me personally.. oh, it's not that important.

When Blinding was first formed, it was horrible. You got kicked out, put back in, signed NDA's every time, and the cycle restarted. Everything seemed so unsure. Anna and I slowly became a team, but we were too scared to become friends in case one of us would not debut. Eventually, the two of us seemed to be confirmed after the company saw the song we wrote together. I also think I found a kind of soulmate in her. Yujeong and Soobin then returned and that seemed to work better, but it felt incomplete. Only when Jiwon joined did it get better. I don't know how or what she does, but she made it feel complete. Not good or finished, but full. No more room. That might've been because 5 was the amount of members always intended to debut, but I like to think it was fate.
