A/n hey sorry it took so long me to update my dad had a seizure and is in the hospital and I've been really busy with school and other stupid shit but I'll try to update every week again. also my writing style has changed a bit<3

James pov:

James and regulus had just finished the book they were reading.

It was regulus favorite book 'Carrie' a muggle book which surprised James that the  regulus black would read a muggle book.

"Hey regulus" James asked looking over at regulus who was rambling on and on about the book

"yeah" regulus said stoping his rant "are you coming to hogsmeade this weekend with us" James asked yawning

"Uhh maybe Sirius asked me earlier I said I'd think about it" the younger boy said looking at the ceiling

"You should come" the older one said sitting up a little using his arm to support him  "really I don't know if I should" regulus replied sighing

"Yeah you should totally come if you want to of course" James said with a shit eating grin

"So if I come I won't be intruding?" Regulus asked "of course you won't be daer! Sirius and Remus are usually go off on there own. Peter will probably be with Matteo  Marlene will be with her girlfriend and Mary and Lily are probably going to be hanging out I need you there" James said taking his glasses off

"Are you telling me that all your friends just leave you by yourself every time you go to hogsmeade" regulus said closing his eyes

"Well not every time sometimes I bring a date or Mary has a date so Lily hangs out with me or lily has a date and Mary hangs out with me but other than that yeah they usually just leave me alone" James said sounding a little sad

"I'll go then I don't want you to have to be alone while all your other friends are having fun" regulus said turning to face James

"Really? you'll go!? thanks darling! This is great I don't have to walk around all alone and bored" James replied excitedly

"Well I can't promise that you'll be entertained I'm pretty boring but you won't be alone" regulus said grinning like a little kid

"Oh hush you are vary entertaining" the taller boy said turning on his side so their faces were only inches apart

"Sure I am Potter" the smaller one moving a little closer so if either of them spoke their lips would brush against each other

"Regulus have I ever told you  how absolutely beautiful you are" James said resting his forehead on regulus's

"No but I highly appreciate the compliment" regulus replied leaning in for a kiss

"Hey prong, reggie we're back" Sirius yelled making James and regulus jump apart before their lips could touch

"Oh hey Siri" regulus said now standing beside the bed grabbing his stuff

"Are you leaving?" Sirius asked plopping down next to James where regulus was just sitting not even a minute before

"Umm yeah I told barty I'd help him with his homework but I'll see tomorrow" regulus mumbled walking over to the door waving at Remus who was sitting on the edge of Sirius bed

"Oh well alright bye reggie" Sirius said giving regulus a broad smile showing almost all his teeth

"Bye-bye Siri I love you" regulus said returning the bright smile showing just as much teeth

"Love ya too reggie boy" Sirius giggled waving bye with both hands like a small child would

"Bye regulus" Remus and James said in unison making them all laugh before regulus waved every one bye and leaving

*Time skip to that weekend*
11:32 am Saturday September 27th 1976
Regulus pov:
Regulus was waiting for Sirius and the rest of his friends over by the carriages playing with his rings nervously because this would be the first time he'd ever hung out with Sirius and his friends in public which absolutely terrified him

"Hey baby black we've been looking for you forever" James said ruffling regulus hair and giving him a flirty smirk lightly biting his bottom lip one eye brow slightly raised his head tilting to the side a tiny bit looking down as to make eye contact with the much shorter boy looking at him with a coy look on his face

Merlin why is Potter so fucking close to him! not that he wasn't enjoying it! no of course he was enjoying it! how could he not he loves having people close to him and having someone so incredibly hot basically pushed up against him of course he didn't mind! shit was he attracted to Potter! James fucking potter of all people!

"Guys look the girls are here" Peter yelled excitedly holding Matteo's hand"you guys we're over here" Sirius shouted waving them over "Sirius don't shout I've got a headache" Remus said rubbing his head "sorry moons! Do you want to go back to the dorm and cuddle" Sirius asked hugging Remus waist

"No m'love I'm alright" Remus replied rubbing Sirius back and kissing his head "ewww pda that's gross" regulus stated loudly pushing James away from him

"It is not gross reggie it's love" Sirius said waving at Marlene,Dorcas,Mary and Lily who all just walked over "no love is a private thing you should do in well in private not out in the open where people can see" regulus exclaimed dramatically 

"No love is something you should do everywhere not only in private then stop in public" Sirius huffed in annoyance "what do you guys mean by doing love? are you having sex with or something" Mary asked confused

"How do you have sex with Love" Sirius asked looking at Mary "ok so first you find someone named love then you fuck them or they fuck you which ever you prefer and boom you had sex with Love" Matteo explained "ew sex" regulus said "everything isn't gross regulus" Sirius said "no but pda, love and sex are" regulus replied

"Umm guys the carriages are about to leave so maybe we should you know get on one" Dorcas said.

A/n I'm gonna be honest this chapter was not based on a song I was just listening to king of my heart on repeat while writing so yeah also this kinda sucks but what can you do🤷‍♂️
