"so reg what do you wanna" James asked flopping on to the bed "umm can we listen to music?" regulus asked chewing on his lip "of course baby black what do want to listen to" James replied going over to the shelf of records "uh do you have anything by the doors?" Regulus asked playing with his hands "well of course I do all 3 albums" James declared proudly "can we listen to the first album?" Regulus asked "of course my dearest regulus" James replied jokingly "don't call me that idiot" regulus scuffed "I'm am not a idiot" James gasped "yeah well you're no rocket scientist either" regulus laughed out "what's a rocket scientist?" I don't know if that's completely right but that's what Severus said it was" regulus explained smiling "ew please don't tell me you're friends with Snivellus" James said wrinkling his nose in disgust "his name is Severus and yes he's one of my best friends" regulus replied rolling his eyes at the stupid nickname "why would you ever want to be friends with him he's a disgusting slime ball" James said pretending to throw up "because he's funny and smart and we have a lot of shared opinions and we share a lot of common interests he's really not that bad if you get to know him" regulus explained playing with his hair "that's exactly what Lily said and turns out I was right he's a asshole that only cares about himself" James huffed
"He does not only care about himself!"

"Fine whatever let's not fight it would break Sirius heart if he thought his best friend and little brother didn't get along" James said
"Yeah ok whatever" regulus replied rubbing at his eyes and sniffing a little
"oh please tell I didn't make you cry I don't know what I did to make you but Sirius told me how easy it is to make you cry" James yelled in a panic
"I'm not crying my eyes are just watery" regulus said "you know because of allergies" he added after a moment of silence "oh alright well I'm bored" James said putting his head in regulus lap "we could read together" regulus suggested "no I want to talk to you not sit in silence while we read that would be boring"
"Well I was thinking more like we take turns reading out loud to each other and probably talk about the book when we're done or when we're still reading it or both" regulus replied absent-mindedly playing with James hair
"Well that sounds much better let's do that"
