"GOJO, ARE YOU EVEN PAYING attention?!" A voice demanded.
Gojo Satoru, the strongest man in the world, happily took a bite out of his precious kikufuku before letting out a shameless, "Nope!"
Utahime could be seen rolling her eyes in disdain. Her annoyance was reaching an all time high now. First her tea turned cold and now she had to deal with this moron. She wasn't being paid enough for this. "You are being asked to pay the Uchiumi clan a visit and try to persuade the head of the house to let his daughter attend one of the schools."
"Oh?" He said distractedly, more focused on his kikufuku than anything to be honest.
He knew of the Uchiumi clan. They weren't of high status as the top three clans—they weren't even the same rank as the Inumakis, but they were respected enough. He had met the head of the clan, Uchiumi Susanoo, and it wasn't a pretty meeting. Mainly because he tried to flirt with his wife and Susanoo attempted to kill him.
(He failed, of course, haha.)
"His daughter is of age now, and she has inherited her family's technique, water manipulation," Gakuganji, the elderly principal for the Kyoto school, explained. "She and her father are the only ones in the clan so far who have that ability, and if she can be anything like her father, she'll be useful for us as a sorcerer."
That was true. The Uchiumi Clan was famous for their Cursed Technique: water manipulation. It was powerful and versatile, but there was the slight issue of its rarity. Currently only two people inherited it, Susanoo, and now his daughter who was the right age to begin schooling at Jujutsu High School.
"Uh huh," Gojo hummed, nodding absentmindedly as his fingers tapped boredly on the arms of his chair. He could already see where this was going.
Yaga sighed, massaging the bridge of his nose. "Look, we already tried to talk to them and we all failed. You're the only one left. Just give it a go. If it doesn't work, then we report it to the higher-ups and maybe they'll leave it alone."
"I doubt it'll work," Gojo drawled, popping another kikufuku in his mouth. He could see Utahime's eye twitch with great irritation and didn't bother to suppress his grin. "Our clans have a history, you see."
"A history." Utahime repeated dryly.
"Mmhmm! Dunno what it is though," he replied cheerily, shrugging. "Some sort of issue that happened over a thousand years ago. It's really only the elders of my clan who keep bitching about it so it's probably something super petty, like maybe a marriage proposal that was rejected or—oooh! Maybe an affair!"
"Do you ever take anything seriously?" Nanami sighed heavily.
Gojo ignored him. "The wrinkled sad sacks—no offense to our dear Gakuganji—of my clan take this feud seriously, even insulting and belittling members of the Uchiumi clan for whatever it is they're so strung up about. So it's very unlikely that I'll be welcomed there."
