Flamingos & Duck

??'s POV

Sitting down on the chair placed near the window, nothing unusual, I looked out, seeing the vast green, healthy looking meadow, birds singing a somehow steady, rhythmic, melodic and relaxing song, the sun's rays, engulfing the whole scape, blessing us with its light, and comforting us with its warm, cozy blanket of the nature and world, no. It wasn't a fairytale. Unfortunately.

Looking out, I was greeted "kindly", by a huge ass, tall, thin, modern building, lovingly protecting me from the sun's warmth and love. Ugh.

Window seats have always been my favourite, whether it is a window seat to the Heavens above or Hades, or if it's a seat made of something I wouldn't feel comfortable with or would appreciate, like leather.

The school's ground were completely occupied by students, few coming in for the daily torture and fun, few leaving for god knows why and a few, roaming, "wasting" their time, ngl it's a lot better than waiting by this seat, and look out to the view, that I suppose, is something a business dealer would appreciate.

As if it's a part of my daily routine, I looked out, my gaze piercing itself, first through the building, next downwards, to the students, and finally, to my own eyes, my own reflection. Heaving a sigh and unconsciously shaking my head, as in, to shake off my thoughts, I shifted my gaze, once again, towards the students. Few being people I know, here and there, standing or walking were my class mates, and a few, no, two, my friends.

Seeing the scene reflected by my focal point, I smiled. A true one. Seo Yun, looking as if she was going to one, pass out, from sleeping late at night after promising to watch an episode and it's all buckle-tuckle up and done to sleep, but only to end up breaking the promise made to herself, prolly saying, 'I can't with a cliffhanger', mentally, a classic, high school behaviour, atleast in this school or, two annoyed with Hye Jin, as if she was an infant who just got her first rose from a classmate, without knowing it was a girl, and happily sharing it with her caring, sweet mom.

Chuckling at the cute two flamingos as, 'the extreme poles of interest' sisters, or as a 'mom and daughter' relationship, fortunately, a healthy one. I looked away and straight ahead to the door, waiting for my friends to arrive.

Hye Jin: Ji Euniee!

Hearing the clear, high pitched voice and immediately recognising, to whom it belongs to, I turned my head, with a decent, genuine smile, plastered on my face, just for it to vanish at the near cardiac arrest I was about to experience. Junkfreak. Please.

Jungkook: Hey! Good morning, princess!

He greeted, with an unnecessary loud tone for why I was sitting right beside where he was kneeling.

Ji Eun: Lord-

I said, still not being able to recover from the sudden shock, while his expression changed from a merry look to an even merrier, childlike look. There was really going to be someone dead here, not me though, I am the murderer.

Seo Yun: Good morning, Ji Eun-ah! You too, Jungkook!

She said, placing her school bag lazily, in her bench, the bench behind mine.

Hye Jin: Good Morning!!

She said, as she gave a hug to me and the "strong wall", standing beside my bench, then to the rest of the classmates. Weird? It was at first, for everyone, but soon went all those confusion when she revealed herself to the world, as an outgoing, friendly person, directly. Always wished to be one and know what it's like but God replied 'sike'.

Ji Eun: Good Morning! And you!

I said, as I shifted my gaze while squinting them, to meet his, Junk- Jungkook's, dark, round orbs flashing a strong, steady light right towards mine, into mine, making my eyelids nictate, unconsciously, at the sudden beam.

Ji Eun: Why the heck did you scare me, no, how did you even sneak here?

I said, without stuttering, a whole party going on inside as if I had just beat a titan and it was a victory party.

Jungkook: What do you mean by, "I sneaked here?"

He feigned, as he made his way to place his butt on the bench infront of me, Hye Jin's bench, while she was still busy with greeting our classmates.

Ji Eun: Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about.

I said, still not forgetting about the incident of me almost reaching seventh heaven earlier than I should.

Jungkook: I didn't sneak on you, it's just that you were too busy, acting as if you're the main protagonist of a story, where the world is about to get consumed by a chocolate monster, and it was just the opening, or you were sleeping with your eyes open.

Ji Eun: Neither I was acting nor I was sleeping with my eyes open.

I hissed at him, proving him wrong and protesting for my own dignity and respect, even though I know very well, he, a duck, doesn't give a duck about it.

Hye Jin: Ji Euniee, come let's go somewhere. Seo Yunnnnn.

She whined, not even wanting to protest the hella handsome fella, sitting in her bench and to rest.

Seo Yun: Ughh, fineee.

She said, feigning as if she isn't interested, but deep inside, she, herself wants to go and goof around, as if it was the last day for the humans on earth.

Ji Eun: But, the class, it-

Hye Jin: Heyy! We still have 10 mins, 10 mins Euniee!

She spoke as she cut me off, stubborn to receive what she wants and doesn't seem to let go any moment.

Hye Jin: Fin-

Jungkook: Noooooo, stay hereee.

He said, as he stretched and stressed the first and last word, this time, he being the one to cut my words. Why is it always me.

Seo Yun: Noo!

Hye Jin: Noo!

They both said in unison, for which he returned a pout with a 'fine' and done look.
Ngl, I was scared... If he was going to convince me to do something which I would have never ever thought I would do in my life, and make me do it or make it seem as if, I did a thing, which ain't going to be appreciated by the teachers and make me stand outside the class, worse, detention, or even worse, clean the rooms.

But knowing I won't be able to convince these two sisters, all I could do, was pray and only that.
