Next Day

Hyunjin's POV

Entering the office and perceiving no soul in sight, I placed my assignment in the table, where stacked papers were placed along with a note beside it saying, 'CCA'.

Getting my foot to lead me out of the room, I stopped as soon as my peripheral vision caught something move in the place where books and books are stacked in for teachers use and answer keys for workbooks and such. Frowning and peeking inside, I saw Jungkook, and he saw me.

There we stood - statue like, staring at each other with questions rising and filling inside of our brains.

Are we gonna speak or no?

Hyunjin: Hey... What are you... Doing in here?

I asked, while looking around the rectangularly framed room, as he stood straight by bringing his legs together from having them away from each other to make it easier for one to bend and take things out of the heavy, stacked books.

Jungkook: Ahh... I had a doubt in the CCA and when I asked mam about it, she said me to check this out.

He opened up with a sigh as a finishing touch, with his hands lowly holding onto his hips and eyes fixed on the numerous, different categories and sized books, which gave me a nice dizzy feeling for a second or two, making me shake my head and raise my eyebrows to blow out the secured area of concentration, relaxing my mindset.

Hyunjin: You have a doubt in the CCA?

I asked, not being sure of what exactly it is, that activated and got his mind into work and gave rise to a question.

Jungkook: Well, about how to do the activity.

He stated, as he tightly smiled with a strained expression and silence brimmed up after seeing my taken aback state.

Hyunjin: Oh...

I said, but soon was the CCA announcement paper flashing in my mind, reminding me that we do have a week left for the last submission.

Jungkook: Yes... She said that the announcement paper was just kept between these books in this rack. So I am just checking between pages and stuff.

He said, going back into whatever got interrupted by an annoying insect, me.

Jungkook: Don't you have class right now?

He questioned, still taking out books and going through them, being careful to remember books which he has gone through before, and not check them again, thus leading to waste of time.

Hyunjin: Ah, yes I do.

I said simply, as he looked at me with a disgusted expression, making me nod unwittingly after understanding why he, in the first place, even brought up that question out of nowhere.

Hyunjin: Alright. But sure you will be able to find that paper?

I said, ready to offer help while he denied, not wanting me to miss my class.

Jungkook: Nah. Thanks though.

Hyunjin: Okay... Later.

I said, as he hummed in response. Leaving the room, I saw Ji Eun.

What is this fate.

Ji Eun: Hey!

She said, as she stopped on her way and lowered her hands to her sides from having them - folded and her index finger stroking her chin, as if she was present physically but absent mentally and into deep thought.
