The Inspection of Vah Ruta

I AM SO SORRY FOR NOT POSTING IN LIKE A YEAR—

Sidon and Zelda were peering over Link's shoulder as he said, "Ok. So here's the map...and it looks like there's some damage at these three points. At the tip of the trunk, the guns, and the main control unit." Link said, pointing to the locations on the Sheikah Slate.

"Ok, so what do we do?" asked Sidon, eager to see what he could do to help.

"Well, let's go to the main control unit first, because it's easiest to get to."

"Ok!"

The trio walked down the ramp, and walked to the main control unit. They inspected the oddly shaped terminal-looking-thing that stuck up out of the ground. Sidon found a few spots where there was still malice, and he warned the others to avoid it. Zelda found very small cracks in the foundation, and Link found a few spots where it could have been scratched by Water-Blight Ganon a few weeks ago.

Link started to contact Purah and Robbie, asking to fill in the cracks, and Zelda started sealing the malice.

"Whew! ok. That should be good here for now. Let's move onto the trunk for now, let me move the trunk."

"Link... Link? I can move it..." Said a mysterious voice..

"Mipha? Is... is that you?" Link said, looking up.

Zelda looked up.

"Go on. Tell the princess."

"Anything I've missed?" Zelda asked.

"Um..." Link took a deep breath, then said, "I have contact with the champions. I... forgot to tell you through all the chaos."

" I see. Is there any way I can come in contact with them as well?"

"I don't think so... you've lost connection with your father, which disables connection with the other champions. But I don't really know..."

Zelda looked at Sidon, who looked like he was trying not to cry. "Sidon!! Uh! We... I..." Zelda looked at Link, a little panicked.

Link looked at Zelda with a panicked frown. "Mipha? Is there a way that either of them could talk to you? At least Sidon?"

"I don't think so... wait. May I think for a moment?"

"Sure!" Link said, watching Zelda patting Sidon's back.

Sidon sniffed.

"... Maybe if we were alone here, in the main room... I could talk to Sidon? He might need the Sheikah Slate..."

"Ok... Zelda, let's go back, Sidon, you stay here... Mipha, How long do you need?"

"I think we might need about twenty minutes. Thank you, Link."

"No problem, Mipha. Zelda, let's go."

"O-ok. Good luck, Sidon!!" Zelda called over her shoulder, letting herself be dragged along by Link.

"So? Any luck?" Link asked, stepping in the main room.

Sidon jumped, then turned around, with a gigantic smile on his face. "I can talk with her now!! It took awhile, fumbling around on this tiny thing, but it worked! I just need to be in the same region as Ruta!" Sidon shouted excitedly.

"Oh, thank Hylia it worked!" Zelda said, letting out a sigh of relief. "Wait, what about me?" Zelda asked, who's head popped up. "Would it work with me, do you think?"

"I suppose so... Would you like to try?"

Link said. "Yes, she would like to try. Sidon? Let's go, so they can try it."

"Right! Let's go! Would you like to ride on my back as we head ashore?"

Link looked at Sidon, surprised for a second. "... s-sure? That would be... fun."

Sidon frowned. "You don't have to, Link."

"No! I will. I would drown trying to swim there anyway. Let's go!" Link said, then started climbing onto a crouching, grinning Sidon. As Sidon stood up, he quickly ran to the entrance. He then leapt into the water, and started darting through the water like a torpedo. Link waved, and then closed his eyes, trying to avoid the splashing water.

Zelda looked up. No Mipha right now... She walked toward the main control unit, and hovered the Sheikah Slate over the pedestal.

There was an outburst of noise, as if they got connected. She jumped, and looked back at the pedestal. It was glowing...

"Zelda... Zelda... Open the Sheikah Slate's Rune options... "

"O-okay." The runes! Easy enough. Zelda turned the slate on, and swiped to the right. With two fingers, she did it again. Okay, now what? "Now what?"

"Now, click 'add'. The option for 'communication' should pop up." Mipha replied.

Zelda clicked the button. Who would you like to communicate with? Mipha she typed. She then clicked the 'confirm' button. Would you like to say anything at this moment? YES! She thought as she typed "Hello, Mipha. Did you get this message?" and waited.

"Yes, I have received your message. Thank you. Now, call Link and Sidon back. They would like to know the process was successful." Yes!!

"I'll call them back."
