        No longer a working intern for Eclectic Sounds Asha exited the place with a smile on her face and a sigh of relief. As much as she enjoyed learning and being hands on in her desired field she had been ready to skate. Which made her question whether she really wanted to be in marketing for the music industry or actually focus on being a publicist. That only annoyed her to think about but she didn't want to stress about it until she was ready to find a job after graduating. That post-graduation depression could hold off for a couple months — at least that's how she wanted it go.

She removed her hair from its clamp and let it fall down as she unlocked her doors and climbed inside. She let out another sigh from being both hungry and ready to lay down. She wasn't tired or sleepy but she no longer wanted to be up and active. After a moment to herself in silence she started her car up and headed home for the night.

"Welcome home, Bug." Jema smiled from her place on the couch with her feet kicked up and her phone pressed to her ear.

"Hey babe." Asha pushed the door closed and locked it. "Who has you smiling over there?"

"It's just Drew. He's supposed to be talking to me but he's talking to everybody else so." she shrugged. "How was your last day?"

"Pretty boring. I mean they gave me a cake." she held up the small Publix cake. "I'm just happy I don't have to go back anymore but that's something I don't want to get into right now."

"Oh ok—don't get loud with me! You were talking to other people so I chose to do the same. Are you ready to speak to me now?"

Asha chuckled and walked passed Jema toward the kitchen. She opened the fridge and put the cake inside while checking to make sure one of them had taken the ground turkey out like she asked. They had so she headed upstairs to take a shower before getting in the kitchen and cooking their dinner.

Once in her bedroom she noticed a large package sitting on her vanity stool. She sat her tote and phone done on her bed then examined the box addressed to her from her parents. A small smile grew on her face and she quickly grabbed her eyebrow scissors and stabbed at the tape then yanked the rest open. Inside were even smaller boxes with a sheet of paper resting ontop reading;

Happy birthday Asha!

Your Granddaddy and I put this box together in hopes to make your day! We love you!!

She cooed then sat the paper down. There were four wrapped gifts inside ranging in size along with an envelope. She already knew what the envelope held because her grandmother was the queen of handing out money especially secretly. No matter the event she found a way to hand her grandchildren money and she was the most generous on birthdays. Asha removed the envelope and sat it on her vanity to give the other gifts her attention — a gold necklace, a pink tri-color Michael Kors bag, wine flutes, and a wine aerator. She could easily differentiate who bought which gift.
