Another Chance To Bloom

Chapter 7

The first task in my list is to meet up with Prof. Lucius Green. Classes would only start in a week.

I came a week early to discuss teaching plans with the professor. I also needed to be proficient in the spells he planned to introduce, if he planned on introducing any, so that I could give a demonstration.

I also needed to be familiar with his schedule and the students he was going to teach. I needed to prepare any extra equipment that might be needed.

Other than that, I will be staying in the dorms provided for the teaching staff for now. So I had to go and get settled in as well.

It took quite a lot of persuading from my end before my family agreed to this request and I had to promise to visit every weekend.

Although my initial wish after transmigrating here was to live my life as a lazy young master, I quickly got slapped in the face by reality. But I don't half ass anything, even if I'm mediocre, I'll use my mediocre skills to the fullest!

So even if I didn't initially plan on being a teaching assistant, I will still do my best to be a good one. Or at least a steady and dependable one.

I hauled my suitcase up the stairs and finally came in front of a door marked '307'.

Pushing the door open, I was pleasantly surprised by the view that greeted me. Although the overall area wasn't as big as my bedroom back at home, it was still pretty spacious. On par with some of the higher end apartments back in my past life on Earth.

It had a bedroom, a bathroom, a study with a built in bookshelf, a living area with a kitchenette and a spacious balcony. It also had lots of windows and had lots of natural light. If you couldn't tell, I was very satisfied with my accommodation.

I should probably bring some plants to fill up the space. A couple of hanging ones and big leafy ones and some flowering ones as well.

I unpacked my luggage and started to settle in. I changed the sheets and replaced the pillows with super fluffy ones that I brought from home. I changed the curtains too. Most of the sheets, curtains, furnitures, tablecloths and everything had a dark theme in this castle. I had no idea why... Maybe to give a sense of pressure to the students?

I don't know and I don't care to know either. The Academy can be as gloomy as it wants as long as it's not in my little dorm.

I like the structure of the dorm but the walls and floor are not working for me. It was all made of some dark stone. Not only does this make this place look like a tomb, it also makes it cold!

I have to bring some fluffy carpets from home to cover the floor. As for the heating... I'll ask Charles and Caius if they have any ideas.

I only a brought the basic necessities in this trip. I'll go back home this weekend before classes offically start and bring the rest of the stuff, so I quickly write down a list of all the stuff I'll need and place in my bag.

By the time I finished arranging what little stuff I brought, it was already noon.

There really wasn't much but I got engrossed in one of the books I was arranging on the shelves in the study. Before I knew it, I had already been reading for an hour. (ノT＿T)ノ ＾┻━┻
