"You die."

"What!"

"Well, technically you should have already been dead, like me. In the game, the older twin never makes it. It was stillborn, the end."

"And me?"

"The original Ciel died one month and one week before the game starts. Ring a bell?"

"When I entered..."

"Yup."

"Wait, you said 'one month and one week before the game starts. Has the game started already?"

"Yes. The timeline in the game has started."

"When?"

"Today when the talented commoner, the heroine, came to the academy."

"That girl surnamed Burton... She's the heroine?"

"Yup."

I really needed some time to thing about all of this but before that...

"Can you tell me the story in the game?"

"You really want to know?"

"Yeah..."

"So, this is an otome game, right? So there has to be some capture targets. 6 to be exact. Theres His Highness Prince Alastair, my older brother Julian Valentine, your younger brother Curtis Heroux, the Marquis's second son and child prodigy in mechanics - Quinn Hale , one and only son of the Knight Commander Landon Bullion - Gage Bullion and His Highness Prince Avner of the Kingdom of Mune."

"That's quite the collection of men you got there. My brother as well...?"

"Yeah, Curtis as well. You don't have to worry though. The game has only started and according to the timeline, the heroine shouldn't have met him yet."

"That's good to hear. What happens next?"

"You've never played an otome game before, right?"

"Yeah"

"Well, basically you have to interact with various characters in different scenarios and increase their favorability towards you. Depending on how you choose to interact, you can unlock various routes like a romantic route or dramatic route, sometimes harem route and different endings as well. That's the gist of it."

"Ohh..."

"Usually these types of games are marketed towards women."

"So why did you play?"

Hearing my question he stared off into space.

"Well... my boyfriend of three years cheated on me with a girl because he couldn't handle the pressure from his homophobic family and I just needed a bunch of handsome guys to love me unconditionally to heal my broken heart."

Ouch.

"Sorry..."

He waved his hand in front of him as if to disperse a broken dream and smiled at me,

"Don't be, ah, it's literally been a whole lifetime after that. I am so over him."

"I'm glad."

"Besides... I kinda have someone else that I like now..." He blushed as he looked the other way.

"Ohh really~ Who's the lucky person?"

"That is for me to know and you to find out."

"What...! Why did you tell me you had someone you liked if you didn't plan on telling me who it was?"
