Yuánfèn (缘分)

Chapter 10

Wang He Di arrives at the party site and soon discovers that the elegant residence belongs to Xiao Zhan. He is led to the pool area, which, in addition to having a beautiful garden, has a lounge with an incredibly luxurious bar, designed exactly to receive friends and host the famous parties promoted by the producer.

"I'm glad you accepted our invitation, He Di." Xiao Zhan pats his shoulder excitedly.

"My friends forced me to come." he laughs.

"Where is Huang Tao?I thought she came with you."

"I'm not her boyfriend, I have no idea where she is." Wang He Di notices that Xiao Zhan is surprised by his response.

"Excuse me! I thought..."

"Do not worry! Everyone thinks the same as you."

"Well, part of the team has already arrived. I'll welcome the other guests, feel free and have fun!" he says in a friendly tone.

Wang He Di watches Xiao Zhan greet the other guests sympathetically. The kind way he treats people is really remarkable. He acknowledges that Xiao Zhan is a good-natured and sincere man.

"Are you in love with the producer?"

"Ha! Ha! Ha! Very funny." with irony, Wang He Di answers Xize, who is arrived accompanied by a beautiful woman.

"You are looking at him the same way I look at Jia Qi." Xize laughs out loud.

"Shut up!" he rolls his eyes.

"How long have you arrived?"

"About 10 minutes ago. Where are Kuan and Connor?"

"They are on their way. Before coming, I had to go get Bambi." Xize points to the woman next to him. She greets Wang He Di.

"You are getting more handsome every day! How come you haven't got married yet?" she says with irony.

"One person said he doesn't like women." Xize laughs.

"Tsk!" he punches Xize in the arm, "I still haven't found the right woman."

"Well then, have fun until you find the right woman. Time passes very quickly." Bambi winks at him and goes to greet Xiao Zhan.

Xize and Wang He Di sit at the bar and order a drink.

"Why did you bring her?"

"I didn't invite her, Di, the person who invited her was Yue."

Wang He Di frowns, "Shen Yue?"

"I found Bambi at the front door. She said that Yue introduced her to Xiao Zhan two months ago and since then, she always asks her to go out with them."

Wang He Di holds his chin thoughtfully, "he is a rich, handsome man and everyone knows he likes Shen Yue, why is she trying to bring him closer to Bambi?"

Xize shrugs, "I don't know, but my cousin looks like she's starting to like him."

At this point, Anyu and Connor enter the garden followed by Kuan, Jia Qi, Annie, Cheng Xiao and Zi Wei. Xize makes a gesture with his hand, beckoning them to join them. Connor and Kuan chat with Xiao Zhan and Bambi, while the others go to meet Xize and Wang He Di.

"Di, why did you ask Anyu to pick me up? It took him almost two hours just to get his hair done." Zi Wei complains.

"What an exaggeration!" Anyu sits down next to Xize, "I'm not your babysitter."

"Annoying!" Zi Wei laughs.

"You have a very short skirt, Zi Wei."

"You didn't pick me up, Di, so you have no right to complain."
