In a middle-class neighborhood in Wuxi, Shen Yue enters a not-so-big but cozy building. At the door of the apartment, the Christmas decor is ready. Shen Yue rings the doorbell and a pretty girl, with the same characteristics as Shen Yue, opens the door.
"Wow!" Wang He Di exclaims.
Shen Yue smiles, "Xiao May, I missed you so much!"
"Yueyue" the friend hugs Shen Yue and the two cry with joy.
Wang He Di stands still watching the two women, when a child runs up to Shen Yue, "godmotherrrrrr", the child jumps into her arms.
"FeFei, how big are you!" Shen Yue kisses her godson's cheeks.
"Who is this young man with such long legs?" FeiFei asks. Everyone laughs.
"He is my friend, Wang He Di." Shen Yue invites him in. He greets Xiao May and FeiFei and hands over the fruit basket.
Xiao May gives Shen Yue a questioning look and she understands what her friend wants to know.
"Godmother, we are putting up the Christmas tree."
"I can't believe! I arrived on time."
"I know you love Christmas. Did you bring a present?" the boy asks happily.
"FeiFei, what did we talk about asking for gifts?" Xiao May alert.
The boy pouts. Shen Yue pulls him into a hug and the two continue to place decorations on the tree, "I'll deliver your gift tonight" She Yue says in the little boy's ear, which vibrates with joy.
Xiao May invites Wang He Di to sit down, while the two watch Shen Yue and FeiFei's mess.
"Do you think I did the right thing by asking Yue to be FeiFei's godmother?" Xiao May asks.
"Yue is perfect, I'm sure you did the right thing." Wang He Di responds without taking his eyes off Shen Yue.
Xiao May smiles upon seeing Wang He Di's passionate expression, "I think this time, Yue is dating the right person."
"What?" he says in surprise, "did you know?"
"There's nothing about Yue's life that I don't know about," she comments. "I'm sorry you two can't tell the world you love each other. I wanted to tell the truth, that it's me in the picture, but she didn't let me. She said people wouldn't respect me and we need to protect FeiFei. People are cruel."
"She is right. If I were in Xiao Zhan's shoes, I would do the same for her," he confesses.
"Xiao Zhan is a good friend to Yue, but you are different. So remember my words, never break her heart. She may have asked for one month to get to know you, but she's just being cautious. You have already won her heart." Xiao May says quietly.
"My heart belongs to her, before she met me," Wang He Di declares.
Xiao May is happy to hear Wang He Di's confession. She feels guilty about Yue carrying a burden just to protect her.
"Hey, come help us! I still have lunch with my parents today" Shen Yue pouts and everyone laughs.
Wang He Di goes over to her and touches her forehead, "The fever is definitely gone."
"I'm better now," she says, "you can stay here and have lunch with FeiFei and Xiao May while I go talk to my parents."
"Yay, let's finish setting up the tree and eating ramen", FeiFei jumps up holding some Christmas decorations.
"Can I cook my special ramen recipe for you?" Wang He Di asks and FeiFei nods and smiles.
Shen Yue says goodbye to FeiFei and Xiao May with a tight hug. "Besides being handsome, your boyfriend is very kind" Xiao May says quietly.
Shen Yue blushes.
She goes to put on her sneakers to go out and Wang He Di escorts her to the door.
"Come back soon", he pulls her and kisses her softly. "I'm already missing you."
"I'll be here as soon as possible," she smiles.
