It's almost 9 pm when the meeting with the variety show producers ends. Wang He Di, Connor Leong, Wu Xize and Kuan Hong decide to have a few drinks at Bar Rouge and have some fun. They're hired to be part of the production team for three days and they're excited because this is their first important project since they decided to leave the company they worked for and open their own agency.
"We can't drink much today. Tomorrow we have to be at the agency at 8 am." says Connor.
"Do we really have to be there at 8 o'clock?" Xize asks.
"For our agency to become known, we have to do this work with excellence." He Di responds by inhaling a cigarette.
"You hadn't stopped?" questions Kuan indicating the cigarette.
"He smokes when he's restless." says Xize.
"What's worrying you Di?" Connor asks suspiciously.
"I'm not worried, I'm just tired."
Kuan, Xize, and Connor look at each other but are silent as the waiter places the drinks on the table.
"Come! Let's have fun." Wang He Di smiles and drinks his whiskey at once.
The Bar Rouge is always busy. He Di and his friends are regulars at the place because in addition to drinking, dancing and entertainment, the beautiful view of The Bund, it's a great place to do business. He Di and the bar manager Yang Yang are friends and he always helps Wang He Di by introducing him to influential people.
"Did you see the list of celebrities who will be on the variety show tomorrow?" Xize excited question.
"Not yet. Did you see?"
"Kuan has the list."
Kuan takes out his cell phone and shows him the list the producer sent him. He Di's eyes widened as he checked the list of artists' names.
"Shen Yue?!?" He said with dismay.
"I like her." Kuan takes his cell phone back and continues checking the list.
"Me too," Connor agrees. "She is cool."
"Nice? Tsk!" He Di scoffs.
"What attitude is that? Remember that she is part of our job, we must treat her with respect."
"I know what I need to do, Xize. I will be polite to all of them, don't worry."
"Be careful not to fall in love with her. They say her eyes are a man's undoing." Kuan laughs.
"I learned that her ex-boyfriend still suffers for her today," Xize comments.
Wang He Di rolls his eyes. "Must be an idiot!"
"Why don't you like her Di?"
"Connor, women like Shen Yue have it everywhere. They look like angels, but they are real demons, make no mistake."
"But has something happened between you two?" Connor insists.
Wang He Di looks at Connor, Xize, and Kuan for a moment and says nothing. He just ignores his friends and leaves.
On the other side of the bar, a group of attractive girls are having fun while drinking martinis and ignoring the men who try to approach them. Shen Yue, Cheng Xiao, Annie Sun and Li Jia Qi are taking the opportunity to celebrate Annie's engagement, as they are having the opportunity to be together on the same project.
"I can't believe you're engaged Annie! I thought Yue would be the first of us to get married...", Jia Qi laughs and Yue chokes on her drink.
"Hey! We're not here to talk about my failed relationship." Shen Yue pouts and her friends burst out laughing.
"Okay, let's not talk about Yue's miserable love life. Tell us about your love life Jia, are you still experimenting with testing which guy is the best kisser?" Cheng Xiao teases Jia Qi.
"Xiao, I only kissed three different boys."
"But you didn't fall in love with any of them?" Annie asks curiously.
"I haven't fallen in love with anyone yet and I don't plan on getting married anytime soon." Jia Qi claims.
"I think I'm starting to think that way too." Yue says and everyone looks at her, but this time no one makes any jokes.
"Don't think about it too much." Annie says with a kind smile.
"We have to focus on our work. Love will appear at the right time."
"You're right Xiao," Yue agrees.
"Where are Zi Wei and Vivienne?" Annie asks looking towards the entrance.
"Zi Wei had to go to Sanya and Vivienne is with her grandmother and can't come." inform Jia Qi.
"What a pity! But I'll having an official engagement party and they can't be missed."
"How lucky for us to work together for two days!" Yue exclaims.
"Come on, let's dance and take a selfie to celebrate." Cheng Xiao leads the way to the dance floor while Yue, Jia Qi and Annie follow their friend excitedly.
The presence of the four girls aroused the attention of people around. In addition to being beautiful and sexy, they have a contagious joy! As they dance and take selfies, a pair of eyes curiously watches the group on the dance floor. From the table where he is seated, Wang He Di analyzes Shen Yue.
"That angel face doesn't fool me Shen Yue." he mutters.
