I know I have been beaten up badly when Bill was blinded by anger, but I had no idea it was "hooked up to like five machines in the ER" bad. Melody is close by with a couple of casts, but at least it looks like she's allowed to eat. That's good, but still, I can't stop thinking about Bill Cipher. I don't know if he's dead, if I should be mad at him, or what. All I know is that the police are most likely hunting him down, Dipper is definitely still chasing him, and I might never even see his dead body ever again. Well, there's also one more thing I know: I'm basically drowning in my own tears and the sight can't be pretty.
The door softly opens. My world is too blurry, but I see a scuffed up person come towards me, riddled with mud, roughage, and little scars. The person is very...yellow.
"If they're going to hide my dove from me, then they shouldn't have put them in the only emergency facility in town!" A rather angry voice shouts. I manage to dry my eyes with a sore arm and clear my vision. It's Bill. Holding a box. Honestly, between the injuries and my ugly crying, I'm too tired to feel anything about this encounter.
"I really did a number on you," Bill doesn't say it as if he's sorry or even sympathetic about it, "Here, have some cheap sweets made by the hands of African children slaves!" Bill puts the box on the little table next to my bed. I slowly turn my head to see what it is: a chocolate bar. I smile slowly.
"I don't know if I should be mad or relieved," I rasp out with barely any volume, "but you should get going before the hospital security men find you." How do I know that the security guards are after Bill? Simple: He's a wanted man accused of beating three people up, so they wouldn't let him go see one of his victims. He snuck in and the hospital is probably aware of the situation by now.
"How do you survive with all these laws, kid?!" Bill questions before proceeding to open the nearest window and jumping out of it. Dipper comes running in with Mabel not far behind. He has his gun out.
"You just missed him," I tell Dipper.
"Drat!" Dipper exclaims, "You shouldn't have taken so long to find your old grappling hook, Mabel! ..Mabel?" Dipper looks at Mabel, who has picked up the chocolate bar I was given and is grinning widely.
"It's a Mars Bar!" Mabel turns back to Dipper with the chocolate bar in her hand, "It's definitely from Bill." Dipper gives Mabel a look.
"Mars is on my candy blacklist," Mabel puts the chocolate back down, "But Dipper, do you know what this means?"
"That Bill supports what you don't...?"
"That he went out of his way to give (Y/N) blood chocolate," Mabel corrects, "even after they became 'useless' to him."
"So he's got a different plan for (Y/N) and is keeping the flattery going," Dipper states, "Bill would be handing you chocolate to keep you from hating him, Mabel."
"Then he would give Billy's Cacao-loony or something," Mabel points out, "he wouldn't need to go out of town for the local brands." Dipper tries to come up with a counterpoint, but Mabel's got him beat either by sheer stubborn optimism or the idea of running out of town and back just to give someone a name-brand chocolate bar.
"Then we'll wait until he comes back," Dipper decides, "and we'll kill him on sight."
"No!" Mabel says, "I think it's time that Matchmaker Mabel comes out of retirement."
"That's a stupid idea."
"People these days love romance," Mabel points out, "so if we could get it on camera, this could boost our views." Dipper pauses and turns to me as he thinks about it.
"What do you think, (Y/N)?" Dipper sounds unsure of the idea. I carefully grab the chocolate bar and look at it, running on what could go wrong or right. Bill is my best friend, and he was always kinda cute. Plus, I get to be on television!
