Krissy POV

"I came here just to get to know you", Jazmyn said calm and pleasantly.

Her eyes must have sat on mine for about 5 seconds, but I felt crushed done a notch with each millisecond that went by, to the point that by the time her gaze travelled past mine, I had physically shrunk into my chair.

The intent of her words was received.

She knew who I was.

She remembered me from our brief meeting in Dubai... at least I think she did... I hope she didn't.
Her face was friendly yet indifferent, but her gaze stung especially when she said, 'get to know you'.

Yep, she knows about Jason and I's relationship. And I don't know if it's because I never speak about it or the toxic nature of the relationship, but the fact that Jazmyn knew about Jason and I made me feel ashamed, and inferior, like someone knew my dirty little secret.

"Great. I hope you can get to know us through our new strategy Miss Rai" said Jenna who was overly smiling at Jazmyn, as she commenced the meeting.

"Please, call me Jazmyn, or the soon to be Mrs Quill", Jazmyn replied with a smirk earning a chuckle from the room.

Mrs Quill, Ha! I don't know why but hearing her say that hurt. It shouldn't cause I'm with Theo... I'm happy with Theo, and the possibility of me one day being Mrs Quill ended on my 18th Birthday, so I don't know why I feel... territorial over that title.

With my head bend to my papers, I forced a half smile as to not stand out from the rest of the room.

And she said, 'soon to be', I think people stop saying that after waiting four years and counting.
I don't know if I should be sorry for her or pleased it hasn't happened yet... or guilty it hasn't happened yet.

'Mrs Quill'.

I began to recalled Jazmyn say the name in my head again and again.

'Soon to be Mrs Quill'.

'Mrs Quill'.

'Soon to be Mrs Quill'.

'Call me MRS QUILL'.
'MRS JASMYN QUILL".

'YOU WILL NEVER BE MRS FUCKING QUILL!'-

Suddenly an itch ran down my neck, causing my head to slightly jerk in the direction of the sudden sensation, making Theo turn to me, trying to catch my eye to check if I was okay.

But I kept my head down towards my papers appearing to be focused on the agenda. But really, I lived in my blind spot, glued on Jason and Jazmyn.

At Jazmyn's remark, Jason too let out a chuckle, but in Jason-fashion it was quick, you might not have caught it. But I was studying the two, so I caught it.

Once the half laugh had vanished, Jason squinted up at Jenna who continued to talk.

"Okay, Jazmyn", she began, and Jazmyn nodded at her.

"The new strategy we have been working on has been centred around social media".

"Perfect! I told Jason when he invited me that I was worried I wouldn't be able to follow. But one thing I know is social media... I have 7million followers on Instagram", she said smirking, openly proud of that.

"Wow", Theo whispered causing me to cut my eye at him.

"That's nothing, I'm trying to chase Mr 15million over here", responded Jazmyn who caught Theo's admiration.

"I don't think our strategy is as impressive as your Instagram page, but we have thought of a great campaign that we predict will increase Quill Corporations traffic by-
