No Ones POV

BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ!

Krissy gasped as the unwanted whining from her alarm violently woke her up startling her causing her to sit up frantically in confusion.
She quickly placed her hand over her heart trying to steady the fast thumping coming form her chest.

With slit eyes she roamed the room, it took her a moment for the dark shadows and lines to come together and for her to recognised the room she was in to be hers.

She rolled her eyes at her own confusion whining as the sweet sensation of sleep left her body leaving behind the feeling of fatigue.
She carried her heavy eyes to the digital clock cursing when '6:00 am' flashed on the screen.

Today was her first day at work after the summer holidays and she wasn't used to waking up at this time or in such an abrupt manner.

Instead of doing what she should be doing which was flinging herself out of bed and into the shower.
Krissy stayed still for a moment, her eyes caught staring at the crack in her curtain which let a select ray of sunlight in dimming her dark bedroom.
She licked her dry lips dampening them slightly. She could taste the slight residue of the serum she lathered over her face the night before which was strict instructions from her mum for today's big day.

As she continually stared at the window concentrating on the cool beam of light that September brought, she gathered her thoughts making various predictions and scenarios of how the day would turn out for her.

In one scenario she saw the day going really well, with her new boss taking a strong liking to her because she thought of a winning strategy that impressed the clients.

In another she saw herself running into the office in a fit of cold sweats as fails to get there on time and her boss firing her on the spot for being sloppy and uncommitted.

A shiver shot down Krissy's spine as the latter was beginning to look more like the reality.

Krissy knew she didn't have the time for this moment of reflection but she felt like it was important to mentally acknowledge that this was the first day at her first job.

In the past Krissy had worked the odd job, she once worked on Saturday for a sweet shop one year but she quicky realised retail was not for her and swiftly returned to the bank of Mum and Dad.
Plus their was never major pressure to work in the past, her parents wanted her to work more to prevent laziness then for the money.
But now this was different. Education was over, she had gotten her degree and now whether she liked it or not today was her first day of work.

BUZZ BUZZ!

She looked over to her phone to see who had message her.

'Picking you up in an hour, Love You'

The message from her boyfriend caused her to smile at the screen and immediately made all those confused feelings clear.

She was happy.

Krissy POV

An hour. Fuck.

What am I going to wear!

I immediately ran out of bed and into the hallway.

I need my mum now!

And just as if she knew I was looking for her she appeard.

"MUM!" I announce as I bump into her chest due to the speed I was running.

She looked at me in concern she had that 'where's the fire' look on her face, causing me to shake my head so she could dismiss that idea.
