No Ones POV

Once Jason and Krissy left the room they strutted through the lobby and into the communal swimming area.

Krissy who was trailing a little behind Jason was taking in her surroundings of the new parts of the hotel she had not seen before.
She noticed how the architecture changed from features of character and history to features that were modern and advanced for which Dubai is most known for.

Krissy would stop and take pictures of anything remotely impressive to store and show to her friends back in London.
She was excited that they were going to the modern part of the resort as she itching to be around normal people like her.
Despite her favouring the distinguished part of the hotel if she was honest with herself the thought of lounging amongst the rich and powerful created a tight ball of anxiousness in her chest at the though of either not fitting in or being totally bored to death.
She knew Jason would also enjoy being there in the modern section. Krissy imagined him lounging back in an arm chair, acting like the celebrity he will one day be and feeding of the attention and chaos of the Dubai public and tourists trying to have any sort of interaction with the heir to the Quill empire.

Thinking of this made her eye the back of Jason's head as she still trailed behind him. She could never understand what it was that made him crave the worship from those around him. Still staring at him Krissy shook her head at Jason once again making note of how different they are as unlike him who gets off on being amongst the products of the current generation who trades their soul for short seconds of momentary social media bliss. Krissy on the other hand thrives of small intimate encounters also to a fault, as she indulges too much in comfort zones and wonders why it caused Faith herself on behalf of Destiny to jump-start her life to a steady place.

And they wonder why destiny paired them together.

Krissy Pov

As the opening to the beach area came into sight and I could now make out the music that was travelling across the resort.
I took a deep breath looked down at what I was wearing giving myself a quick pep-talk in my head. At this point I was actually greatful Jason make me cover up cause I clearly overestimated my courage.

"You good", Jason said looking slightly back at me snapping me our of my thoughts.
My sunglasses shielded my eyes which would have given away my feelings of anxiety from him. I was happy about that too. After all the drama it took to get down here I couldn't pussy out now.

"Course", I said plastering a smile on my face.
I reached out for him to take my hand which he did, still curiously looking at me.
"Tell me I look good", I blurted out. I gasped slightly at myself, surprised at my bluntness especially regarding that topic.
I looked up at Jason who was now smirking down at me, clearly amused.
I just blinked at him waiting a response...

Which I didn't get from him.

He just licked his lips and grinned at me. Which caused me to tug on his arm, encouraging him to give me a response.

"Jaaaaso-

" You weren't meant to say that weren't you? " he said cutting me off. He was now fully amused and standing direct in front of me getting all in my face.
Which caused me to back up a little and screw my face at his statement.

" I could tell by your face you didn't mean to be that blunt", he continued with his cocky persona as he waved his finger in my face.

"So what", I said dodging his finger by swatting it away.

I know whats going on here. This is Jason in control and abusing it. All we do is play games. This 'relationship', has issues. He took what happened upstairs in my hotel room as 1 point to me. Where his emotions and insecurities were exposed, and Jason priding in being the man who can never be read didn't like that therefore like a child festering in the showcase of my insecurity just because... Now its 1 point to him.
