~Lukas POV~

Terror is not an emotion I enjoy cultivating. I mean, sure, it gives me a lot of adrenaline, but it brings back bad memories.

But staring at Thella crumpled on the ground, I felt that too-familiar fear seem into my bones.

Thella was curled into a ball on the ground where fell after she had bolted. Her hands were twitching and he lips kept mouthing one word.
Run.

Her eyes were wide, mirroring the fear I was feeling. Her brown curly hair was knotted and wild.

"Thella," I murmured. "What's wrong?" I knelt next to her, moving slowly.

Then she starts whispering.

"This is what awaits you. This is the only thing that awaits you. Run, while you still can," she murmured.

I froze. "What?"

"This is what awaits you. This is the only thing that awaits you. Run, while you still can." she repeated, voice emotionless. "This is what awaits you. This is the only thing that awaits you. Run, while you still can."

Then she opened her mouth and screamed.

I flinched. Reaching out, I shook her. "Thella! Wake up!"

"RUN" she yelled.

What is going on?

~Thella POV~

Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run.

I can't run. My legs gave out. But the compulsory urge to run, to escape, didn't leave.

Run. You aren't safe. Escape. Don't trust anyone.

The need to escape grew steadily. But my body couldn't move. I couldn't move, just like in the black room.

This is what awaits you. This is the only thing that awaits you. Run, while you still can.

This is what awaits you. This is the only thing that awaits you. Run, while you still can.

I started to scream. I needed to know I wasn't in that room.

I'm okay. I'm safe. I can scream, so I am okay.

But I didn't stop screaming. I didn't until I could move. And when my feeling returned, I scrambled to my feet to fulfill the urge to run, but something stopped me.

"Thella, stop! What's wrong with you?"

The black boy from earlier turned me to face him and forced me to stay in one spot. "Thella," he begged desperately.

Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run.

"Concentrate. You can fight this... Thing. Whatever it is. Take deep breaths and focus." the boy instructed.

Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run.

"I know you are in there, Thella. Come back."

I tilted my head to the side. "Who is Thella?"
Run.

Ooooo a Lukas POV. What do you think? Should I do more of these? Should I do a chapter entirely in his POV?

Whoa, two updates in one day? Whaaaat? That's practically a record for me.

Okay, it's past midnight, so technically it's two different days, but idgaf so. Yeah. And it's a pretty short chapter anyway. Ugh oh well.

So when I posted the last chapter legit two minutes later someone voted and ot honesly made my day, so thank you so much to those who vote and comment and read. It means the world to me :)

Again, this is unedited. Let me know of any typos you ever see in my books so I can fix it :)

Hope you enjoyed this chapter!! I love y'all!

P.s. I'm also just now noticing how much I have been italicizing stuff recently. I have a problem, like jeez, I need to calm down.
