The pain was excruciating.

"Where. Is. The. GIRL!" The man electrocuted me with every word.

"Who. are. YOU!" It took an enormous effort to get the words out. It probably didn't help me, but whatever.

He struck me with the master bolt again but held it to my neck.

This time I didn't even try to restrain my cry. I let loose a loud, ear piercing scream that could have been heard for miles. The man delighted in my pain.

I knew he would do it again to hurt me. But hopefully one of the gods heard my scream.

For an hour he did this. Maybe longer if Poseidon hadn't been alerted.

I was just about to give up hope when I heard water trickling down. It was just loud enough to distract the man.

Then it flooded. At the time, I was thinking WHAT IN HERA'S SACRED NAME WERE YOU THINKING?!?! THAT WILL MAKE THE SHOCK WORSE YOU MORON!

But the man was trying to breathe not torture me. Abruptly, the water washed out, taking the man with it. Poseidon stepped into the cave, completely poker faced.

"Need any help?"

I glowered at him. "You blasted, blithering idiot! Does it normally take you this long to help save a goddess? He had the master bolt for Zeus' sake! Why did it take you that long?"

Poseidon rolled his eyes. "Zeus is on his way to retrieve his bolts. I figured you couldn't wait any longer to see me save the day."

"Shut up and get me out of here." I snapped.

"Someone's not in a good mood." Poseidon observed while he undid my chains.

"Let's see you get hit with the master bolt for over an hour with no break after being tortured previous days and be in a good mood!" I exclaimed.

"Where is it?" Zeus demanded. He stalked into the cave. "Where is it?"

"Don't get your tunic in a bunch." Poseidon said. "It's right there." He jerked his chin where the man dropped it. "There! You're free." he told me.

I stepped away from the chains. "Thanks."

"What happened?" Zeus asked. Now that he had his lightning bolt back, he seemed in a good mood.

I sighed and told them my story, leaving out the fact that Thella had seen me.

~Thella~

I took a deep breathe. "I need to talk to a girl named Reyna."

The girl with the medals stepped forward. "That is me."

"I came from Lupa. The Wolf House. I am a child of Pluto--"

The blond boy stepped forward. "Impossible! There is no way that there is another child of Pluto! She lies! She is a Greek. Kill her!"

"Octavian." Reyna snapped. "We haven't heard her story. We will hear her out. Then we will make a verdict." She nodded at me to continue.

"I am Thella. Lupa told me to tell you that your request has been denied, whatever that means."

"Do you have any proof? A note?" Octavian demanded.

I stared at him like he is the stupidest person in the world. "Lupa is a wolf. She doesn't have thumbs. How in the world would she be able write anything?"

A few Romans snickered. Octavian flushed.

Reyna managed a smile. "She has a point. But she cannot assist us?"

"She said something along the lines of "I cannot assist them in their petty war" or something like that.

"Petty?" Octavian exclaimed. "Our vengeance against the Greeks is petty?" he turned to Reyna. "We can't trust someone who claims our revenge is petty! It's treason!"

"I didn't say it was." I pointed out. "I don't know what war you are talking about. Lupa called it petty." She actually didn't, but she certainly implied it.

"I have made the verdict!" Reyna announced. I held my breath and prayed to Ra that I wouldn't die.
