*Monday at school*

"You know, we should probably join extracurricular clubs," I stated and Amelia nodded. "Like what?" She asked and I shrugged. I looked over a board as we walked by and I saw that the decathlon team needed an extra student. "I could join the decathlon team," I said and Amelia looked at me. "You'd be a great fit," Amelia said and I nodded. I walked up to the board to see who I had to talk to. I read the flyer and it said to talk to a Mr. Harrington.

--

At the end of Mr. Harrington's class, I waited back while the other students left. "Can I help you with something, Ms. Johnson?" Mr. Harrington asked.

"Yes, I was wondering if I could join the decathlon team?" I asked.

"Of course! The class is after school," Mr. Harrington said and I grabbed my bag. "Perfect, thank you," I said as I left the classroom and started to walk to my next class.

*after school*

"Alright, students! We have a new member joining us!" Mr. Harrington announced and some of the students didn't seem enthusiastic about it, which didn't bother me. I also don't have the energy to be excited over a person I barely know. "This is Santana," Mr. Harrington finished and I stood there for a moment until a girl walked up to me. "Hi, I'm Liz, nice to meet you," the girl said as she held her hand out. "Santana," I said and she started to give me the rundown of the class and how it is blocked out. She also informed me that there was a competition in Washington D.C coming up.

After the class, I was told about all the information for the D.C trip and I took mental note of all of it. I walked out of the school to see Amelia and Natasha sitting in a car in the parking lot. I walked towards the car and opened the back passenger side door and got in. "How was it?" Amelia asked.

"It was interesting, there's a competition in D.C this weekend," I said and Natasha turned around to face me. "That's fun!" She said with a smile. "Yeah, but I don't know if Tony will let me leave," I said.

"Don't worry, he will," Natasha said as she started the car and pulled out of the parking spot she was in.

*Day of D.C trip*

I got to the school where we were meeting up and I didn't even have to look hard to see a group of teenagers dressed in yellow and blue. I walked over to the bus and Mr. Harrington took my bag and placed it on the bus. I got onto the bus and sat down next to MJ, who was reading a book and seemed to have not noticed me being there. I didn't say anything, I grabbed my phone and earphones and I started to listen to music while waiting for the bus to drive away from the school.

The bus drove away from the school and Liz started to ask us questions for us to practice. I knew most of the questions but I would second guess myself and before I could ring the bell someone else would. This practice lasted until we arrived at our hotel.

We walked into the hotel and it was crowded with people. We got our rooms and our roommates. Once I got my roommate we made our way up to our assigned room. MJ and I walked into the room and I placed my bag on one of the beds and she placed hers on the other.

*after the competition*

We got to the Washington Monument and Ned walked up to me. "Have you seen Peter?" He asked and I shook my head. "No, he is your roommate," I told him and Ned looked confused. "He told me he was going after the vulture guy with you," Ned said and I shook my head. "Oh crap, that's not good," Ned said as we had to set our stuff down on a conveyer belt and go through a metal detector. Ned called Peter and he finally answered. I didn't listen to the conversation as I was busy going through the metal detector.

We got onto the elevator and it started to go up. Ned was standing in front of me and his bag started to glow purple. "Ned," I nudged in a whisper and he looked behind him and saw the purple glow and threw off his backpack. When it landed on the floor the purple grew large until it burnt a hole into the top of the elevator causing the elevator to stop. I could hear the wires starting to break. The security guard in the elevator with us opened a compartment at the top of the elevator and she started to help people out of the elevator.

The wires snapped but only fell a little bit before it stopped. Then after a few seconds of the elevator stop, it started to fall again. Until it stopped once again, but this time it was on a metal pole. Spider-Man fell into the elevator causing the elevator to fall again. Peter shot a web and stopped the elevator from falling the rest of the way.

We got to a point where we were by the doors we were supposed to get off on. Ned, Mr. Harrington, and Liz got off but right as I moved to get out the elevator dropped. Peter shot a web and it wrapped itself around my wrist, stopping me from falling. Peter pulled up the web and grabbed my hand and multiple people grabbed me and helped me to the actual ground.

--

We got back to Queens and Wanda and Amelia was waiting for me. I walked over to them and Wanda hugged me. "Are you ok?" She asked and I returned the hug. "Yeah, I'm fine," I said and Wanda released the hug and we started to walk away from the school. "That's good," Wanda said.

We arrived at the car and Wanda got into the driver's seat and I got into the back since I didn't have the energy to be an assistant driver at the moment.

We arrived at the compound and I went straight to my room and fell asleep.
