*The next morning*

I woke up to FRIDAY speaking over the speakers of my room. "Ms. Maximoff, you need to get up or you will be late for your first day of school," FRIDAY said and I opened my eyes and rolled onto my back. "Thank you, FRIDAY," I said and I got out of bed and grabbed an outfit, and went into the bathroom to do the basics of a morning routine.

Once I finished I walked out of my room and walked down towards the kitchen. When I arrived Wanda, Vision, and Steve were all there. "Good Morning, Santana," Vision said and I smiled. "Good morning, Vision," I said as I started to look around the kitchen for cereal. A box of cereal appeared in my hand and I looked at Wanda with a confused expression. "Thanks, Wanda," I said as I grabbed the rest of the things I needed and I started to eat. "Is Amelia up yet?" I asked.

"She should be," Wanda said and Amelia walked down the stairs. "Morning," she said as she grabbed a bowl from the cabinet and put cereal inside of it. "You guys have to leave in fifteen minutes, are you guys ready to go?" Wanda asked and I thought for a moment going over a mental checklist. "I just need to grab my bag then I'll be good to go," I said and Amelia nodded. "Same here."

We walked into the school and I could see everyone giving us weird looks. "What is up with them?" Amelia asked and I shrugged. "I don't know. We're the new kids. I guess that's what Americans do," I said and I looked down at my schedule to find my locker number and when I looked down for a split second I bumped into someone.

"Oh, I'm sorry," I said as I covered my accent up with a decent American one, I looked up from my paper. "It's ok," a guy with brown hair said and as he was about to walk away I stopped him. "Do you think you could help us? We're new and we don't know where we are going" I said and the guy nodded. "Sure, uh, what are you looking for?" He asked nervously.

"Um, I'm looking for locker number 251," I said and he nodded "ok, I think I know where that is. Follow me," he said with a small smile. Amelia and I followed him and he stopped at the locker. "Here you go." He said.

"Thank you, it was nice to meet you. I'm Santana by the way. This is my sister Amelia" I said.

"I'm Peter. It's nice to meet you too" Peter said as he gave us a little wave and walked away. I put in my code for the lock and I opened my locker, out of the corner of my eye I could see Amelia smiling. "What?" I asked as I finally went back to my normal accent. "Nothing, he was cute," she said and my eyes widened. "He was?" I asked and she laughed. "You are so clueless. Also, he is Parker, the one we are supposed to watch over," Amelia stated.

"Oh, that's right," I said as I placed a few books into the locker and then closed it. "I wonder how an American school works? Natasha said something about grades. I thought it went by years?" Amelia asked now changing the subject as she closed her locker as well. "From what I understand they go based on age not academics necessarily," I said and she seemed to have gotten more confused.

A few kids walked by and before I talked I changed my accent. "They base it off of age if you're five you are in preschool, in Sokovia that would be year 1," I stated and Amelia nodded as she finally understood what I was saying. "That makes more sense," she said as we walked down the hallway looking for a certain room.

*lunch*

It was now that awkward time when we had to find a seat in the cafeteria. Amelia and I stood there with our trays until we saw an empty table with only three other people on it. We walked over and we sat in the middle of the separate groups. I began to eat and while I was eating a salad I pulled out my schedule and asked Amelia to show me hers, she did. "The next few classes we don't have together," I stated and Amelia frowned. "I have to be in a class by myself?" She asked looking slightly panicked. "Don't worry, we have the last class of the day together. You'll be fine," I said as I finished my salad.

"What do you have next?" Amelia asked, letting the Sokovian accent slip a bit. I looked towards the two people closest to us and that was when one of them registered in my brain. It was Peter and he seemed to be connecting dots. "Lia, be careful," I whispered to her and her eyes quickly looked over to the boy who now looked confused. "Sorry," she said as she finished her food. She grabbed my garbage and placed it on her tray and stood and walked towards the garbage.

I looked at my schedule, trying to busy myself while Amelia made her way back to the table. I had PE next. 'I should be good at this' I thought to myself. Amelia sat back down, "I have PE next," I told her continuing our previous conversation. "I have history," she said as she read her schedule. The bell rang and Amelia and I stood from the table and walked out of the large room.

Amelia and I went our separate ways and I started to walk to the gym. Or where I thought it was. "Santana!" I heard from behind me, I looked behind me and it was Peter and another guy that I hadn't met yet walking up to me. "Oh, hi," I said and he looked nervous for a moment. "You know Mr. Stark, don't you?" He asked and I didn't bother to hide it, I sighed. "Yeah, I do," I said now dropping my American accent, which took the two of them by surprise. "You're Russian?" Peter asked.

"Sokovian, but the accent is similar," I said.

"That's cool!" The guy next to Peter said and my eyes glanced over to the clock in the hallway. "Thanks, I have to get to class," I said and Peter looked at the clock and his eyes widened slightly, "right, sorry," Peter said, and before I could say anything Peter and his friend left. I started to walk where the signs pointed me and I eventually made it to the gym.

To my surprise, Peter and his friend were also in this class. I ignored it and I went into the locker room, I changed into the PE uniform and walked out to the gym floor. I joined the growing group of teenagers. The teacher partnered us up and I was partnered up with a tall girl. "What's your name?" I asked as we found a spot. "MJ," she said and I nodded. "Santana," I said, and then class started.

*end of the day*

The last bell of the day rang and Amelia and I walked out of the school. There was a car waiting and the window slid down and Natasha waved and Amelia and I walked to the car and got inside and Natasha drove away from the school. "How was school?" Natasha asked.

"It was interesting, we met the kid we are supposed to be watching over," I said and Natasha looked at me for a moment before looking back at the road. "You did? Did you seek him out?" She asked.

"No, Santana accidentally bumped into him while we were searching for our lockers," Amelia said and Natasha laughed. "You bumped into him?" She asked and Amelia popped her head between the passenger and driver seat. "You should've seen it! It was so funny! They both looked like deer in headlights," Amelia said and Natasha started laughing again. "It wasn't that funny," I said and Amelia nodded. "Yes, it was," Amelia said and I rolled my eyes and started to look out the window.

We arrived at the compound and I went up to my room to begin on homework so I don't have to worry about it. The compound was silent which was weird to me, either someone was there or everyone was on a mission or in town. "FRIDAY, where is everyone?" I asked and the robot answered, "Mr. Stark is in his lab with Mr. Parker and everyone else is in their rooms, miss," FRIDAY said.

"Ok, thank you!" I said and I went back to my homework.
