*the day of the Europe trip*

I arrived at the airport and I saw a group of students standing by the check-in area. I walked over there and Mr. Harrington waved at me. "Perfect, let's do a headcount to see who we are missing," Mr. Harrington said and he began to count. "Perfect! No one! We can check-in now!" Mr. Harrington said as he walked up to the desk and started to talk to the lady.

I was on my phone trying to get ahold of Wanda when a girl I haven't seen before walks over to me. "Hi, I'm Adora. I'm new," she said with an overly friendly smile. "Santana, it's nice to meet you," I said as I pressed the dial on my phone and lifted it to my ear. It went to voicemail. "Let's get moving!" Mr. Harrington said and we all moved towards our gate.

MJ started walking next to me. "You met the new girl?" MJ asked and I nodded. "Yeah. She is so smiley, it's weird," I said.

"You think it's weird because you're a traumatized hero with trust issues," MJ said.

"Damn, MJ. Call me out much," I said as we reached the gate. "It's my specialty," MJ said, I had told MJ about me being a hero just to have someone at school other than another hero to know. At the beginning of the year, MJ and I had become best friends. Peter and Ned sat down at the end of the line of chairs and Peter seemed to be talking about something. "I wonder what they're talking about," I said and MJ looked their way, "can't you use your heightened senses to hear what they're talking about?" MJ asked and I shook my head. "No, I only have heightened reflexes," I said and MJ nodded. "Bummer," she said.

--

The plane boarded and MJ and I were sitting together, completely oblivious to the random moving around of students. We ignored it and continued the movie we started as soon as we sat down.

The plane took off and we turned our movie back on.

When the movie stopped we had eight hours left of the flight. I decided to go to sleep for hopefully the rest of it.

--

I woke up to MJ shaking me, "we're here," she said and I stood and I grabbed my bag from the overhead bin. I walked down the aisle and I got off of the plane. I joined the others in my class and we walked away from the gates and towards the exit of the airport. "I've had this question for a while, but we're you trained in the same place as Black Widow?" MJ asked, out of nowhere. "Yes. That was a random question," I said as I was still a little sleepy. "Well, it just clicked in my brain that my best friend is an assassin-level hero and I was curious. I mean you even told me about the whole accent cover-up thing," MJ said and I nodded.

We got onto a gondola and the boat was taking us to our hotel. We already had our assigned roommates for the trip, we got them before we even left for the trip. As the boat got further into the city, I looked around trying to take mental notes on where certain landmarks were as we sailed past them. As we sailed by a walkway I saw two women standing talking to each other and when the gondola sailed past their heads turned towards us and I got a bad feeling. I looked away and MJ looked at me with a confused expression before looking at where I was just looking. She moved over to me. "What was that about?" She asked.

"I might have a slight issue, but I'm not sure if it is anything to worry about quite yet," I said and I looked past MJ to see Adora looking at us, once she saw that I noticed she looked away.

We arrived at the hotel and once we walked inside the hotel was flooded. Mr. Harrington and Mr. Dell signed everyone in and got our keys to our rooms. "Get your stuff settled in your room and meet us back down here at three!" Mr. Harrington said as everyone walked towards the stairs. "You never told me what the issue was," MJ said as I closed our door and threw my backpack on the bed. "It's a long story, it started back when I first transferred to Midtown," I said and MJ just stared at me. "We have two hours before we have to meet in the lobby, give me the whole rundown," MJ said and I sat down on my bed while she sat down on hers.

I gave her the rundown of the situation and it didn't take as long as I had initially thought it would. It only took about thirty minutes.

At about one we decided to go downstairs and ask if we could go into town earlier and Mr. Harrington agreed as long as we stuck together, we agreed to the conditions and left the hotel. When we reached a market place MJ and I split up to look around the stores.

Unbeknownst to me, my other classmates were already in town as well, I guess Mr. Harrington decided to call everyone down early. I was in a small shop looking at a necklace that was inside of a case. MJ had walked into the shop and spotted me and walked over, she looked at what I was looking at. "That's pretty," she said and I looked closer at the necklace, it was a small rose necklace. "It's super pretty," I said before I moved on to the next item in the store.

I walked out of the store and I walked towards the docks. A man walked up and started to talk to me in Italian and I told him to go away in Italian, which worked. I walked over to a bridge and saw MJ looking at the water. I looked as well and it was odd, tiny waves were hitting the walls.
