Far From Home: Chapter 11

I stood next to Peter, who seemed to not have noticed as he was looking somewhere else. I noticed how the water was moving in almost an unnatural way. "MJ, move away from the water," I said and she stood up and looked at me. "What?" She asked.

A giant figure started to form in the water and everyone started to run. MJ moved away from the edge and that's when a gondola with Ned and Betty came onto the docks from the waves. We moved to help them out of the boat and the monster thing finally finished forming itself. "What is that?" Ned asked.

"You guys should go back to the hotel," I said giving MJ a look and she nodded. "Yeah, Betty, let's go," she said as she ushered Betty away from the situation. A huge wave of water came over a couple of the buildings. Buildings we're getting destroyed by this monster. Peter and I hid behind a wall while we tried to figure out a plan. Peter shot a web at the monster and it went right through it. "Oh, that's fun," I said sarcastically.

Peter ran off to help civilians and I had to think of a way to help stop the monster thing. A thought popped into my mind, black smoke appeared in my hand, I place a small bomb into the smoke and I sent it out to circle the monster. The monster looked around itself as a black smoke circled itself around it. The small bomb exploded and the monster disappeared for a moment before forming again. "Damn it," I said under my breath as I moved towards the bridge that Peter was on.

Out of nowhere bright green lights or something appeared. I looked around and saw a man in green fighting the monster. The water monster and the guy fought and I was trying to think of ways to help. It wasn't solid so I couldn't use a few parts of my powers. I decided to send constant energy blasts towards the monster, every time the blast would go through the monster I would send it back towards the monster until it hit the monster.

The guy in green started to make the monster follow him and I tried to follow the monster. I moved myself to a roof since it would be easier to travel on, I stopped in my tracks when I saw three women standing on the roof, looking as if they were scouting something out. One of the women looked my way and she nudged the other two girls next to her. One of them smiled. "Exactly who we were looking for," one of them said with a thick Russian accent. They had to choose the worse timing to try and kidnap me. "You guys should really work on your timing," I said as I leaned down and grabbed a knife out of my boot.

The women dropped their playful faces and they all started to walk towards me. I adjusted my grip on the knife by flipping it, once the girls were close enough I took a few quick steps forward. I wrapped my arm around the girl in the middle, swung around in the air, I knocked my leg out hitting the girl on the right.

I landed on the ground and I swapped my leg underneath the girl in the middle and she fell to the floor. I stood up and the girl to the left of the girl in the middle went to punch me, I caught her hand and twisted her arm, once I got a good grip on her arm flipped myself upside down and wrapped my legs around her and I used the momentum to bring down onto the floor.

I stood up and as the girls were starting to stand up again I jumped to the next rooftop in the direction I saw the monster go in. Caught up to it and I got there in time to see a clock tower fall and the monster disappeared. The guy flew away and I got off of the roof that I was on and I started to walk towards the hotel without any of my other classmates seeing me.

I stood in the corner of the room where no one could see me, I was typing on a hologram to try and identify the girls on the roof. I easily got into the 'New Red Rooms' system, they hadn't set it up very well. I looked through their records until I found one of the girls, a fifteen-year-old girl from Moscow, Russia. I heard footsteps walking towards me and I hid my wrist until I saw who it was.

"What happened to you during that fight?" Peter asked and then he noticed the hologram in front of me. "Who is that?" He asked and I pressed the button to turn off the hologram. "That is the reason why I wasn't there for the last half of the fight," I said and he looked confused. "There's a person hunting me down, she's an ex-red room assassin. That wasn't her but one of her many minions," I stated as I took off the little bracelet that popped the screen up.

I sat in my room doing more research about the new Red Room and that's when a knock sounded on my door, I walked over to it and opened it, hiding my wrist behind me. I opened the door and Peter was standing there. "What's up?" I asked and that's when I noticed the guy in the hallway. "Who is that?" I asked.

"Nick Fury, director of Shield. The two of you are coming with me," the guy said and I nodded. "Ok," I said confused, I got out of my room and closed the door, and when I looked back to where Director Fury was he wasn't there anymore. "What's shield?" I asked as Peter and I walked down the hallway. "You don't know what shield is? You basically worked with them with the Avengers," Peter said.
