*homecoming*

Natasha dropped me off since Amelia rode with her date. I walked into the school and I could see a bunch of students walking in. I tried to hurry so I didn't get stuck in the crowd. Almost as soon as I walked into the dance I saw Peter run out of the room. I followed after him as he looked panicked. I found him outside in his old Spider-Man suit. When I walked out of the school, a guy was holding some sort of gauntlet, and Peter was hit across the face with it.

Tony had given me a watch-like thing and I tapped it and a suit replaced my dress. It was a suit almost identical to Natasha's. The only difference was there were accents of a lighter grey. I wasn't exactly concerned about the shows since I decided to wear heeled boots, since I'm not a fan of thin heels that barely support your ankle.

Peter stood up and the guy with the gauntlet didn't notice as he was focusing on me. He shot the gauntlet thing at me and I dodged it. I had noticed that Peter lost his web-shooters. I was hiding behind a bus while figuring out what to do. I could hear the guy walking around the bus so I crawled underneath it and to the other side.

I stood up quietly as Peter grabbed his web-shooters and I snuck up behind the guy and I kicked his back before grabbing around his neck and flipping him over my shoulder. Peter webbed him down to the floor, Ned appeared behind me causing me to almost punch him but Peter caught my hand before it connected with Ned. "Sorry," I said as Peter let go of my hand and I placed it by my side. "The guy with the wings is Liz's dad," Peter announced.

"What?" Ned asked.

"I have to tell Mr. Stark. Call Happy Hogan. He's Mr. Starks head of security," Peter said as he swung to a lamp post. "Peter, I can't fly!" I yelled at him and he turned around, "oh, sorry," he said as he picked me up. That's not how I thought he would do it but it works.

We arrived at the warehouse that Ned tracked Mr. Toomes to. I was placed on watch by Peter since he put me down a building over from where the warehouse was. I didn't protest since I didn't want to give away that there were two people instead of one. I sat on the roof of the building waiting to see if I had to help and so far I didn't see anything. I got a call and when I looked it was Happy. "Hello?" I asked.

"Where are you?" He asked.

"I'm outside of a warehouse waiting for Peter to fight a guy with wings," I said and then the phone abruptly hung up. I shrugged it off and continued to wait.

I saw pieces of debris fall and then the whole roof. I panicked, I connected a clip to my waistband and I shot a hook into the roof of the building I was on and I walked down the wall with the support of the rope keeping me from falling. By the time I made it to the ground, Peter was in front of me with a slight limp. "What happened?" I asked as I disconnected the hook and clip. "He got away, but I know where he is going," Peter said.

"Ok, let's go then," I said.

Peter shot a web at Mr. Toomes' wings and Peter let that bring us up to the plane instead of swinging up there. Toomes got to the plane and started to break in. "If you make sure I don't fall, I can use my powers to tear off his wings," I said.

"Ok," Peter said, I activated my powers and a black smoke-looking thing wrapped itself around the wings and with a slight downward motion of my hand, the wings were off. The plane had an alarm system going off now and Toomes got out of the jet and his wings came back and attached themselves to his back. The plane was now declining from the air slightly, Toomes' wings hit one of the jets causing the plane to go down faster. Peter gave us a slightly safer landing but it was still rough, we landed on a beach.

The things that were inside of the plane were scattered along the beach, along with ruins of the plane itself. I was about twenty feet from the wreck and the other people involved. When I hit the ground I could've sworn I felt my ribs crack. My ears were ringing and I could see the interaction between Peter and Toomes. That's when I noticed that the wires of Toomes' wings were about to explode. "Peter! His wings!" I yelled, hoping Peter already noticed.

I stood up and when I did I felt the pain go through my entire body. I used my powers to try and bring Toomes down and I walked closer to the situation knowing that if I was close enough I could capture the explosion and calm it. But I was too late the wings fell to the ground and exploded. I looked away and when I looked back Peter had Toomes on the ground next to him. I walked over to the two of them and each step caused pain in my body.

We tied Toomes up and damage control and Happy came to the scene but we were already gone. We were up on a sign watching the people below. "You ok?" Peter asked, who looked more beat up than I did. "Yeah, I didn't catch myself in time," I explained as I pushed myself against the sign but winced with every movement.

I got back to the compound and when I arrived practically all the Avengers were sitting around watching the news. When I walked in they all turned to look, I waved with a painful smile. Wanda and Amelia shot up from the seats. "Are you ok?" Wanda asked as she looked over me. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a couple bruises," I said, knowing all too well that it wasn't a couple of bruises. "It doesn't look like a couple of bruises. The way you're holding yourself already tells me everything we need to know," Natasha said and I was exhausted at the point. "I'm tired," I said as my eyes began to close and my body collapsed.

I woke up in the medical lab and I looked around to see people I didn't recognize. I moved my eyes all over the room hoping to see someone I know. Eventually, I did, I saw Amelia. "Dr. Cho, she's awake," I heard Amelia say, and a woman in a lab coat walked up to my hospital bed. "How are you feeling?" Dr. Cho asked.

"I feel like I got hit by a tank," I said as I tried to move but my body felt stiff and painful. My ribs were wrapped to keep them in place. "So, what's the verdict?" I asked, trying to figure out what other bones I broke. "Well, you have multiple fractured ribs, your right wrist is sprained and you have bruises everywhere," Dr. Cho said as she looked at a clipboard.

"Oh, great," I said, not as bad as I thought. "You'll need pain killers to help you with the pain and you'll need to change your wraps every other day. You won't be able to do any hero work for about three months at the very least," Dr. Cho said and I nodded. "Ok, thank you," I said with a smile.

"Do you want to move to your room?" Amelia asked and I shook my head. "Not yet, let me take some painkillers first," I said and Amelia nodded.
