3rd person pov:
Kayoko sat in the passenger seat processing everything that was just told to her. She was basically gonna kill people while they fought in games for money, now this wouldn't be the first time she kills someone (don't ask) but something about this is just wrong. Those are innocent people, not some gang trying to assault her or her friends.
They got the first person, some guy that immediately started preaching about 'God', Kayoko didn't feel bad as she released gas and knocked him out. This went on for a while, they made stops by the location of the game every 6-7 people, at least they weren't the only ones getting people, that would take forever.
The only person that stood out among the few that she payed attention to was a slightly familiar looking girl. She had short black hair, a slim but tall and strongly built figure and she seemed on guard the moment she entered. She moved around a bit more than someone who was knocked out usually would, she hid it well though. That led Kayoko to believe that she wasn't unconscious.
Kaya questioned how the girl got into this mess in the first place.
Taking the last 6 people to HQ, the two guards took them to a room and started dressing the rest in a 'uniform' tipe thing. Green-ish blue sweats, a white shirt with a number on it and a jacket that was the same colour as the pants. On the left side of the chest was a number corresponding to when they were brought here. The girl that was mentioned before was 067.
It's not like Kaya's stupid but she dismissed the sudden weight in her pocket when she was dressing 067, knowing it was most likely some sort of weapon. The weight disappeared when she was put back down, the thing is, Kayoko didn't feel a hand. She automatically knew that this girl has experience with pickpocketing.
All of the players were put on their respective beds, and all of the guards left. Kayoko sat in front of a monitor waiting for them to wake up. She was a triangle meaning she carried the guns and killed anyone that failed a game. She was one of the guards in the game. The circles escorted the players but didn't carry weapons. The squares were kinda the 'head guards', they gave instructions and carried some of them out. The Front man was the guy in charge and the VIP's were everyone watching for fucking entertainment. This is like the fucking Hunger games but much more inhumane.
On the monitor she could see a group begin to form around someone. She zoomed in and saw two people in the middle, 067 and 101, they seemed to be fighting. 101 suddenly swung a fist but it was dodged. He grabbed 067 and threw her on the ground, kicking every now and then. It honestly looked very painful. 456 ran up to 067 and started yelling in her face.
The circles walked in and announced what was to happen. Kaya left and went to the 'arena'.
She was guarding there and was to shoot anyone that tried to do anything stupid but the first game was left to the creepy doll next to her. Standing there she started kicking dirt around but stopped as soon as the doors opened.
"Welcome to Red light, Green light. The rules are as follow: When 'it' shouts Red light, you are to stop. Anyone that is seen moving will be eliminated.", It wasn't even mentioned that elimination meant death. Everyone lined up and Kaya could see two guys at the front fighting to get in front, she silently bet that one of them were gonna be the first kill.
The doll started singing and everyone took off. The second that the doll turned around, shouting 'Red light', everyone stopped. 324, some guy with a stupid haircut that made him look like a Top Deck chocolate (a/n: google it if you don't know what it is), was killed. His friend seemed alarmed when he suddenly fell down and went to check on him when the doll sang again. Kaya couldn't see what happened but the guy looked alarmed, looked at the doll and ran even though he saw someone get eliminated. That triggered everyone else to run, a few sensible one stayed put though.
This was why there were guards for this game, if this were to happen we were to help in the elimination process.
So anyway, the Guards started blasting. (sorry i know it's no time for memes) Kaya knew she had to 'help'. She killed more people than she would've ever wanted to. That is 0 by the way. She hated thinking about what she was doing. It was horrible but she had to do this in order to survive. She had people depending on her at home. Over a hundred people were killed in that round and the doll turned around and sang again.
"무궁화 꼬찌 피엇 소리다"
A lot less people were eliminated this round and by the end of the game it seemed like plus minus half of the players survived. Kaya turned around and went back to the security room and checked the cameras and players. 201 players left.
The players were returned back to the main room and they were lined up, at least 10 people started begging on their knees. Kaya got second hand embarrassment from that. In the end the amount of money that is rewarded was shown and a vote was set up. The players will vote for the games to continue or to be stopped. It seemed that the expressions of everyone there changed. The influence of money is really something to behold. Everyone got ready for the voting and the 'continue' group was soon taken over by the 'stop' group, it was a tie.
The last vote, the one that the entire game depended on, was by an old man. 001 hovered over the green button for a second before pressing the red one. The game was stopped.
That led Kayoko to wonder...
"What the hell happens now?"
