Mpreg Special 4 - The howling of the pack

Since one month Zhan and I know now that we get babies and are very happy about it. Well, after the shock has subsided with me, I could finally rejoice about it. And by now all our loved ones, our families, relatives and friends know that I am pregnant with twins.

After Grandpa Xiao came to us, he stayed with us. He lives with us now and has no plans to leave again. He is tired of traveling and wants to retire now. And he can't think of a better place than with Zhan and me in Finland, where he can meet his great-grandchildren in just a few months.

But he is not only here because he wants to rest and didn't feel like flying home anymore. But also because he is looking after us. After what happened with the doctor and how he reacted and behaved, Grandpa Xiao is afraid that there will be more like him and they will find out where we are and maybe do something to us to get our babies.

In addition to him, Eve is also with us, the elf who I feel I am somehow related to. Who knows, maybe that is the real reason why she is helping us? She quickly adapted to us and our life. After a few days she also changed and now looks like a normal person. She is a woman in her late 50s, with slightly graying curly hair and many laugh lines on her lips and eyelids.

She not only helps me with my pregnancy and watches over the babies all the time, she also helps us around the house. And she tries to teach us the language of the elves. I must say, in these four weeks that she has been living with us, I have not seen or experienced anything malicious about her. She is calm and open-minded. She likes to watch TV and is amused by all the talking animals in cartoons and gets terrified when she sees horror movies.

And the first time she wore long trousers, it was so unfamiliar to her that she walked around here wide-legged and looked like her legs were stiff and immobile. The sight reminded us a bit of dogs that you put shoes on for the first time and then they walk so strangely that it looks hilarious.

Two weeks after we found out about my pregnancy, I witnessed a really beautiful and touching tradition of the pack. They all, everyone from the Xiao pack, came here to Finland to congratulate us on the pregnancy. And in the evening when the moon was full, they all went outside, transformed and then the pack howled together to welcome the babies, even if they are not born yet, already to the family.

The howling, which almost sounded like they were singing, has several meanings. On the one hand, it is their way of welcoming the future offspring into the pack and welcoming them into the family. Then this is a message to the whole world and the universe about their joy at the good news of pregnancy. And it is also a warning to all enemies, whoever messes with one of the pack, messes with all of us and will be hunted down.

Afterwards, they made a big fire. Two family history books were brought out and Zhan had to write in them the day we found out about the pregnancy. Then he passed the books around and each one of the pack, wrote a message for the twins in them. That could be anything. A wish for the two. A secret that only the writer knows and shares with the twins. A question. An answer to a question not yet asked. A simple greeting. A poem. Just about anything the pack could think of. Then the two books were sealed and each was placed in a box, which were then buried on our property. These boxes would later be searched for by the twins and read what the pack had written to them that very day.

They painted Zhan's beautiful white fur with symbols to give him the strength to protect me and our babies. And Grandpa Xiao gave us two necklaces for the babies. On these necklaces are two round little pendants. And on these pendants, the Xiao's family crest is engraved. I also received such a necklace from Grandpa Xiao. But the twins' are made of platinum. And tiny diamonds have been set around the family crest on the pendant.
