The three of them followed Zemo up a cobblestone road, when Clara smelled an unpleasant scent. Clara squeezed Bucky's hands, and he looked down at her.
"What's wrong?" Clara clenched her jaw, the smell was getting closer.
"I think we have some unwanted company." A few seconds later, Walker, in his stupid blue and red costume and with the shield came running down flights of stairs towards them. Hoskins was right next to him. "That's what I smelled." Bucky looked up and she felt his grip tighten as well.
"Karli Morgenthau is too dangerous for you guys to be pulling this shit." Walker yelled at them from the stairs. Clara rolled her eyes.
"Ah! How'd you find us now?" Bucky called back to him. They were a few more flights of stairs away. No running now.
"Come on. You think two Avengers can walk around Latvia without drawing attention?" When Walker said two Avengers, Clara was shocked and speechless.
"Umm, Walker. Hi. Yeah there are actually three of us. One, two, three. Just thought you'd like to know." Walker glared at her, then looked right back at Sam and Bucky. Well, okay, asshole.
"That's doesn't matter. What does matter is that you are no longer allowed to keep us in the dark. You could start by telling us why you broke him out of prison."
"He did that himself...technically." Sam told Walker. They were practically a few feet away from them now. She could smell his breath.
"There better be an unbelievable explanation for all of..." Sam put his hand on Walker's chest, as if to separate him from Bucky.
"Hey, take it easy before it gets weird." Walker looked at Sam with unbelief. Zemo pushed through them and made direct eye contact with Walker.
"I know where Karli is." Zemo pushed past Walker, but before Zemo could get past, Walker stood right in front of them.
"Well...where?" Walker's voice was unpleasantly close to her.
"All we know is that it's a memorial. So we are gonna intercept her there."
"That means civilians," Hoskins pointed out. "High risk of casualties." They we're finally able to push past them, and they continued on their way to the memorial.
"Well, there aren't going to be any casualties." Clara told them.
"What do you mean?" Walker literally shouted in her ear. "We can move in fast, take her by surprise."
"...and that kind of thinking is what creates a high number of casualties." Clara commented, irritated.
"I want to talk to her alone. I'm not losing her again. Look, the person closest to her died, she's vulnerable. Now is the best time to reason with her."
"What? No. Wait, no! No! Stop. Hold on. Stop, okay?" Walker tan ahead and stopped reading n front of everyone. He looked pissed. "I think we're way past reasoning with her, unless you forgot that she blew up a building with people still in it." Walker looked at each one of them. "Sam, you walk in there cold, she could kill you."
