Cote nudges him, making his opened mid eating mouth closed shut. "Don't you think you over exaggerate it?" Both of his brows are up. "You know that she'll eventually realize that its only 4 dollars, right?"

He exhaled a half laugh and shrugged, an amused smile played on his lips, "I actually don't even know why I said it." He said it as if it's a normal thing. Cote cannot believe his friend. Sure, he knows his friend a little bit off and irrational, but this? This is off limits.

"What were you planning?" Cote shoved the pudding to his mouth, savoring its flavor. He knows that if Dane do irrational and stupid things -he already got a bigger plan in mind. Despite his 'very-fun-and-cool-friends-life' that makes his life looks disoriented and makes him seemed to only focus on having fun, he's secretly a very organized person. But not many people knows that.

People, after all, mostly judges the content of a book by its cover.

Her phone ringed 3 times before she picked it up.

"Hello?" she clamped her phone with her right shoulder -pausing her activity on pouring the milk.

"Hello, Lauren. It's Mr. Morse."

She paused and taking the hold of the phone with her hand, releasing the shoulder from its duty.

"What is it, Mr. Morse? Why did you call?" She felt a bit tinged by panic. Mr. Morse is the nice old man who runs the small convenience store which where she takes her part-time job. "Did something happened to the store?"

The other line sighed. "No, everything is rather...okay. I was actually wondering if you could cover up for me today? I need to go somewhere..."

He doesn't need to ask her twice. His crooked voice convinced her enough to take the shift. Besides, health should be his priority now, remembering his age.

"Sure, Mr. Morse. I'll cover up Friday as well if Franco can't."

Ah, yes Friday. The mention of it reminds her of the game that will be held tomorrow. The one she promised to take her brother to. But she can't, now that she already turned down the tickets from -that infuriating jerkbutt!

She growls to herself remembering the event that happened earlier this afternoon.

She hungs up her phone before she could growls even more and make Mr. Morse thinks she's a disguised werewolf, but after saying thank you and numerous okays to him.

She proceed to shove her needed books to her messenger bag, her phone and a few other thing that might help her kill the time. She sends a SMS to his father, informing that she will do a shift today, and will be back at 8.

The 3 o'clock sun shines like there's no tomorrow, accompanying her while she pedals her bicycle. Kids were playing around in their yards, chatting and running around. She silently smiled as she remembers those days. Oh, how she hopes she could goes back to those days again, only worrying on which ice cream flavor to choose. And now she got to worry about many things. And much complex problems.

She was bobbing her head up and down. Following the beat from the headphones that hung from her ears. Her mind focused on the homework in front of her, while her hands fiddling the numbers and equations needed. She could be very drawn to the problem she was working, that she isn't aware of anything around her.

She felt a presence in front of her, on the other side of the counter. The music still playing its beats on her ear, she looked up to see a lean figure, -oh kill me now, Lauren mentally rolled her eyes and kicked herself.
