The classical music swinging through the car as it drove through the streets. Despite the calm music in the car, the air was tense between Dane and her. However, she didn't know he likes this kind of music. She always stereotyping these boys to like EDM or house music more.
But then he always surprises her.
She peeked at him, carefully moving her head so it doesn't seem obvious that she was looking at him, wouldn't want him to catch her looking at him or he would mock her about it all the time. His brown eyes are fixated on the streets ahead of them, both of his hands is on the steering wheels, in this position, she might add, she can clearly see his complexion. His clear –and zit-free face, his pointy nose and his lips.
Seriously, how can a lips be so pink without any lipstick?
She averted her attention back to the road. He is... quite interesting to think about, although she won't admit it EVER.
How his actions past days are nothing like she thought he was. And for some reason he kept coming into her life, again and again they stumbled into the same place and at the same time. He's not so bad as she think he is though, proofed by how he actually offers her to catch a ride with him.
She could've been sitting in the bus station, all cold and wet because of the rain by now, but nope. Instead, she was sitting warmly in a car with good music, away from cold and wet. To be honest, although maybe she won't admit it out loud, she is grateful that he was there.
But her train of thought stops when she heard a chuckle.
"You know, if I didn't see you earlier –checking me out, then smile to yourself for whatever reason, I might think that you're planning to kill me."
That's when she pulls back everything she had just said in her head.
"Okay buddy, better not get ahead of yourself." She chuckled back in mockery, "Although you're right though..."
Dane took a moment to face away from the road and look at Lauren, surprised, "Wait, I was right? About you checking me out?"
"No," she turned to face him, "About the killing part." Then she gave him her wittiest smirk.
That can make him shiver and amused at the same time.

Finally after driving for a while they arrived in front of a white suburban house that Dane remembers from his last visit.
"Here we are." He said as he unlocks the car doors. "Better get the hell away now so I can save myself from your psycho mind."
She clicked her tongue. "Bleh, I don't need you anymore, anyway."
"That is not a way to treat the person who has saved you from that rain earlier."
Lauren rolls her eyes as she's closing the car door, "Whatever dude."
As Lauren do so, she heard a stomach growl. It sure as heck wasn't hers, so...
"Did your sto—"
"I'm hungry, okay. Please don't judge me." Dane said with a tired face.
"I don't care, though." She then closed her door fully, without even saying a thank you, then rushed to the front door of her house.
Dane stared at her form with such surprise. This girl is something else, he swears.
Just as Dane was shifting the gear in his car to start driving again, the doors of her house suddenly opens, revealing her with her perfect bun, holding a paper bag.
He stared questioningly when she reached the side of his car. He then rolled down the window. "Forgot to say thanks?", he said.
She narrowed her eyes, "Don't make me regret this." As soon as she gave him the paper bag, she rushed back to her house.
He was surprised by her actions. What could possibly in the bag?
Then he looked inside it. A sandwich.
In closer inspection, it's a PBJ sandwich –his favorite. His stomach then growls in agreement. He looked at the house one more time. His lips tugged upwards.
This girl is sure something else.
