Apparently, Lauren and Dane got accepted both at the bakery. Miraculously, Lauren got the job to mix the ingredients for the cake. Only mixing though, not more than that. Because the last time she did more than that, she almost set the bakery on fire when she forgot her cake in the oven. Dane, being a very careful prick, he landed on the job to wash the very delicate appliances.
Thinking back to when they both argue about how to wash the dishes actually amuses her. Arguing on small things apparently has become their greatest hobby. Nothing that makes her more annoyed than his presence and his witty and sarcastic insults, but what must she do now that they both going to work on the same place.
Two idiots that doesn't know shit about baking and apparently working in a bakery. It will be a disaster, she's sure of it. Everything is a disaster when Dane Streider is around.

"Hey...um...what was your name again...?" The bald guy asked her. This bald guy apparently is her co-worker, the one who did the decoration on the cake. But man, seriously, if this guy is not wearing the apron of the bakery, Lauren would totally think he is a wrestler.
"It's Lauren, sir." She said quite loudly. It's been the third time he forgot her name today. "Oh, no need to 'sir' me, girl." He smiled at her. "Could you please mix this ingredient for me? The recipe is written right here."
Lauren accepted the little recipe paper and reading it and it seems like a regular chocolate cake. Seems like. Well, she better get on going with the recipe.
Dane on the other hand is waiting for the sink to be full with appliances, he's just standing there watching the others working. Apparently, they're prohibited to use their phone while working. Something about the radiation and distraction, said Arabel when they finally got accepted to work there. And now, Dane is bored to his core, leaning against the wall and his hands crossed.
Then his eyes landed on a certain someone who had her hair up in a bun. Her. Ugh, he grunts to himself. At least we're not assigned in the same station, he thought to himself. Gosh knows what she'll do to the fragile appliances. The thought amuses him, though. Of how stubborn she is when she's told about something, or when she's wrong but denied it so very quickly. Ms. Always-Right
He sighs. I suppose working here wouldn't be as boring as I thought it'll be.

She puts her earphones in her ears and sit down in the bench. At this hour, usually busses comes late that it usually is, but its never an hour late. She begins to question whether the buss even going to arrive and regretting not bringing her bike.
The bell on the door of bakery then rings. A figure with the very disgusting hoodie came to view and for a moment their gaze met.
Lauren quickly look away, not wanting to have any kind of convo with him. He too just continue on walking to his car. Pressing a few buttons on his car key and the jeep is unlocked. She thought to herself that it would be okay to ask him to give her a ride...NO! I rather not. She remembered, flashing back to the conversation they had on the phone a few days ago.
Just as she did thought so, she felt someone loomed over her. The figure in the red hoodie, him (who shouldn't be mentioned), looking down to her.
"What do you want?" she said, sitting up straighter.
He raised on of his eyebrows, and give her a low chuckle. "And here I thought you would've want a ride. But I guess you don't so....bye." Then he walked away.
And at that moment it finally dawned on her what he had meant. He had tried to be nice to her. Oh, but it's better not to get her hopes up. He's still an ass.
An ass that could get you home.
She sighs, knowing her defeat. Then she stood up abruptly and she did something she did not expect she'll be doing a few minutes ago.
"No!" she grabbed his hand, making both of them surprised of the sudden contact. She realized what she was doing and let go of his hand quickly.
Dane turned to her and raised his eyebrow one more time. He noticed a bit of red shade in her face as she 'bravely' face him.
"I mean...I... Well the bus isn't coming any time soon, so I guess I will have that ride." she then stomps her way to his car. Acting as if it was hers all along.
"Well, aren't you coming?" she said again from the side of his car.
Dane rolls his eyes. He swears that this would be the last time he's going to be generous to her. "Did I say you can join me now, that you had rejected me?"
"Oh, come on." Comes a mumbled reply. "I'm tired of stirring all those damn cake batter, and so do you. Now come on, we don't get all night to argue." Then, as if she was the owner of the car, she climbed to the passenger seat.
He shook his head. This girl would be the death of him.
