She had fun. She didn't say this very often, but she does. It's been a long time since she's having fun. Thanks to Sophia for this, she won't confess it in a million years, but she needed that. To not think of problems for a while feels...kind of nice.
And eating a bazillion of Brazilian foods also helps.
The lines of tress passes as she's sitting on Sophia's air-conditioned car. A sweet ride in this weather. Sophia insisted her to drive her home with her car, and obviously Lauren declines. Her blue bike, sitting alone in a golf club until some kind of butler brings it home to her while she's lounging in an air-conditioned car, a total no.
But then again, Sophia could be so convincing so that she agreed with her.
Sophia is bobbing her head up and down like a doggy miniature on the dashboard of a car, listening to the radio while Lauren is glued to her phone.
'You went out with Sophia? You mean out on an afternoon party?' The text message speaks to her, she can feel the confusion from her friend.
'Only bc she threatens not to signs up for the competition.' She typed the reply back. 'It's a bit silly tbh, but the foods were great.'
'Brazillian foods are great. Hey, wht about your thing with mister buy-the-soccer-game-tickets?'
Surprisingly normal, her mind says to her. It is not normal to be normal with Dane, but that's what happen. Everything is normal. No annoying phone calls and what not. Wait a minute...she should be happy about it, not asking about it!
She scrunched her eyebrows and shook the thought away. Silly thoughts.
"Hey, you've been staring on your cellphone for a long time." Sophia giggled at her friend. "What is it about? Is it about..........Daneeeee?"
What is she even talking about? Does she has superpowers? But it's not like she was thinking about Dane anyway...
Oh were you?
Grrr. She just want to grumble and strangle her silly part of mind. "No. Of course not. Why would I even think of him?!" She turned her heated gaze to the road in front of her. "What a waste of time to think about him."
"Oh, is it?"
Lauren turned her gaze to her friend and snapped. "Of course, it is! That is so unnecessary to ask!"
Sophia scrunched her eyebrows. "Woah, easy there, tiger." Sophia fidgeted in her seat, never really thinking about this kind of reaction from Lauren. The calm and cool Lauren got feisty because a mention of that particular person.
What is really going on between those two? She seems to hate him so much, but because of what?
Sophia ponders for a while until a mumbled reply came from beside her.
"Sorry for that." Lauren said, looking anywhere but to her friend. "No, it's okay." Sophia replies, "It's on me too, being to nosey at people's life. I promise I won't bug you at it again."
They arrived at Lauren's house a few minutes later, and said their goodbyes.

Days moves by so fast, and busy. A lot of assignments and also practicing for the swimming competition. Her swimming coach is still skeptical about the competition, but that can't stop Lauren.
It is Tuesday already, and Lauren sitting on top of her bed. Answering math questions for next week. She always make the assignments weeks before, in case something urgent comes up and she didn't need to worry about two things at once.
