Chapter 26

Clara Avery : It's today, right?

Dane S : Yeah

Clara Avery : At my place?

Dane S : Sure bb ;)

Clara Avery : Okay babe, can't wait :*

Dane put his phone back in his pocket after unlocking it. Today is the decided day that he and Clara will tutor him. Clara obviously is not as good as Lauren at math but he decided that she will be good enough (and for the fact that Clara is a quite hot), considering back then Lauren was mad at him.

But maybe at this point Lauren is not as mad with him anymore. She gave him the sandwich after hearing the monster growling in your stomach, that must mean that she cares about him, even a little.

The thought made Dane feels warm inside, but he shook it away as soon as it came.

It can't be though. It's impossible.

She hates me.

His phone buzzes again, this time from Cote.

Cottilard : Yo asshole, I heard you're going with Clara now?

Dane S : No, pig fat. I'm having a tutoring session with her

Cottilard : Sure, tutoring lessons ;) Btw if you're free tonite go to Venus, kay? Everybody's going to be there.

Venus is the club they usually go to. A lot of drunk people and blinding lights. Perfect for these boys when they want to get 'smashed'.

Dane S : lol fine, see u.

And with that he closed his locker and go to his first class.

Nothing really happens in the class today except that Lauren didn't find Aaron nor Tori in any of her classes. Not only that, she noticed that many of her classmates are absent too.

That's really weird.

As she was walking through the empty halls, she noticed that there were only few people there, hanging by their locker chatting.

But that's it, she doesn't notice any people from the top of the class food chain there. It's so weird, Lauren begins to think that these people might have a 'how to control the social strata more' meeting somewhere.

Just as she was about to pass the corner, someone with black hair walking really fast bumps into her. Only after that she realized he was a very familiar person, indeed.

"Yo watch it, Lau." He said as he help her straighten herself.

"No, you watch it, dumbo." She said huffing, "Hey, why is everyone mostly absent today? I don't see you or even Tori anywhere...where were you guys?"

Aaron's eyebrows shot upwards. "You don't know?"

"Know what?"

"Dude, there is going to be a prom in four weeks time. I'm really surprised you didn't know that."

It just dawned on Lauren then, that she is a senior now. And there is going to be proms, and you know, before that...the every students nightmare. The Final Tests. That's the reason why Dane is so persistent (well you know, not very much anyway) about the tutoring thing. And that just reminds her that she needs to schedule another tutoring with Cote.

Ah crap!

"You okay there?"

Lauren was silent, still thinking about her next step.
