A Phone Call Away

Shaken you grab your phone, turning down your radio. You dial 9-1-1 in a panic, you can't seem to breathe right.

You just hit someone. You just hit someone. You just hit someone.

It takes a few minutes for you to realize that the phone never rang before it went dead.

Perturbed you try again. A busy signal, the emergency broadcast tone, the line goes dead. You can't deal with this right now. You curl into yourself and try to regulate your breathing - you feel dizzy and light headed. Where are all the cops you saw earlier?

You look up from your shoes. The horizon is a bright orange. There's a fire somewhere close. You look back out the window to where the body is - only it's not there anymore. You move to lock you car doors, slowly and cautiously - your mind going back to the crazy psycho this morning. You look around as the locks click.

There's nothing around you. Slowly you push your car into drive, continuing on the way home; your mind buzzing. Did they get up and walk? Were they really fine after all?

You turn on to your block before noticing the odd blob hanging onto the back passengers side door handle. You stomp on the breaks and scream as the body flies forward, rolling off your car and smacking against the curb. His head cracked sickeningly - his neck bent at an awkward angle. You fling open your door and really do get sick then, pulling yourself back into your car as you panic.

You just killed someone. Oh God. Oh God. Oh G-

A sickening gurgle interrupts you. You look up. His head is flopping impossibly on a broken neck. He's standing in front of you now. You slam your door closed quickly, locking the car again. His arms are shredded, you think you see bone peeking from beneath muscle but there's so much blood. You're almost home. You can see the front door from here. You can tell it's closed.

Probably locked. The windows are dark. All the houses are dark. There's no power anywhere.

The orange glow in the horizon is set in an eerie tone with the sirens wailing and sounds of screaming in the distance.

Do you:

Try to run the guy over?
TURN TO FROM THE WINDOWS

Back up and lead him away from your house?
TURN TO GOOSE CHASE

Stay exactly where you are?
TURN TO SIT, STAY
